Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Highlights And Cricket Score 54th Match - T20 Summary

End of Over : 19.2 RCB: 178/6

Okay. The penultimate double-header is out of the way. Saturday will be remembered more for VIART KOHLI BECOMING THE FOURTH CAPTAIN TO WIN 50 INDIAN T20 LEAGUE GAMES but just to remind you, earlier in the evening, Delhi beat Rajasthan to knock them out of the competition. Super Sunday sees the final two league games of the competition - Punjab hosting Chennai, followed by the Mumbai-Kolkata clash. Join us from 4 pm local (1030 GMT) for all the action from games 55 and 56. ADIOS! TAKE CARE!

Victorious Bangalore captain, Virat Kohli, says that the last 6 games which they played was exactly what they aimed for in the initial phase. But admits that this is the way things go and praises his team for turning things around in the next half and showing their skills. Adds that given the way the second half of the season panned out, it does not feel like a bad season, with 5 wins and a washout in the last 6 games. On this particular match, Kohli says that perhaps Hyderabad also thought with himself and de Villiers gone, the match is dusted but Hetmyer and Gurkeerat stepped up and he wants the latter to play more such stuff next year. Thanks the crowd for genuinely turning out in large numbers and says that he understands their pain of not winning, as he too, is emotionally attached to the team and franchise. Promises for a better and stronger show in 2020.

SHIMRON HETMYER HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH. Sums up this Indian T20 League experience as getting used to the environment and having fun while playing. Says that it always helped to play with a clear mind. Credits Bangalore and calls it a fantastic franchise and wants to take whatever he has learnt from this tournament into the future.

Gurkeerat Singh Mann is up for a chat with Murali Kartik. Says that he just went into bat at good position and he was just taking singles and trying to build a partnership. He tells that when there is a player like Hetmyer you don't have to do anything silly. He says he is happy and thanks the crowd for the support they have given them and he hopes to give them memories to cherish. On how he is feeling after tonight's performance, he says he has not been on the field for the past 2 years and just wanted to make himself feel present and important. He though admits the job is not done and there is still work to do.

Hyderabad skipper, Kane Williamson, says that they had an element of control and at the halfway mark, he thought they had set the platform. Tells they started off well with the ball picking up three wickets but credits the way Bangalore played. On the dropped chances, Kane says it is a game of cricket and such things happen. Admits that they should have got 10-15 runs more but lost way in the middle but got to a reasonable total in the end. On the season, he says there are number of fine lines and feels the last two games could have gone anyway and thinks that is the nature of this game.

Here is the scenario for Hyderabad then. Hope Chennai beat Punjab and Mumbai defeat Kolkata on Sunday. Or, if Punjab do win, then win with a smaller margin so that Hyderabad's net run rate is unaffected. By this Bangalore victory, Ashwin will be heaving a sigh of relief.

If Hyderabad lose out on the playoffs, they have only themselves to blame. They were in a position to win here but probably took the foot off the pedal after de Villiers fell. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Basil Thampi were excellent but the others sprayed the ball around the park, including the reliable Rashid and got tonked.

The run chase was structured just around 2 people - Shimron Hetmyer and Gurkeerat Singh Mann. Neither had anything to lose and with the score reading 20/3, Hetmyer played the way most West Indians play - bash the ball. His counter-attack took Hyderabad by surprise and the dew did not help them either. The 144-run partnership for the fourth wicket pretty much sealed the deal though wickets at the end almost got a twist in the tale.

Virat Kohli is pumped up. For the time being, Bangalore avoid the wooden spoon. If Punjab lose to Chennai on Sunday, then Ashwin's men will take that. It might be seen as Bangalore made heavy weather of the chase from a comfortable position but as far as the situation is concerned, it is fine. They are already knocked out and a win is a win. But for Hyderabad, they are now in troubled waters and will have to depend on other teams to take them through.

19.2 4

Mohammad Nabi to Umesh Yadav. FOUR! That is it. He might have been villian in the eyes of many for the last over but he has taken his side home with the bat. Again full and flighted outside off, Umesh slashes it through cover and finishes the game. BANGALORE WIN BY 4 WICKETS.

19.1 4

Mohammad Nabi to Umesh Yadav. FOUR! That should be it. Flighted outside off Umesh smacks it through point for a boundary. Only 2 needed now.

End of Over : 19 5 Runs 19.2: 170/6
18.6 1

Khaleel Ahmed to Umesh Yadav. A single taken on the last ball. Hmmm... Full on middle, Yadav punches this down to long on for a run to get off the mark.

18.5 0

Khaleel Ahmed to Umesh Yadav. Full and straight, pushed back to the bowler.

18.4 1

Khaleel Ahmed to Colin de Grandhomme. Excellent stop from Bhuvi. Outside off, de Grandhomme guides it towards short third man and it almost sneaks through but Kumar dives full length to his right and makes a half-stop. Just a single.

18.3 W

Khaleel Ahmed to Washington Sundar. OUT! Slower delivery does the trick. Khaleel gets his second of the over. It is full on off, Sundar looks to go over mid on but does not time it. The ball goes high in the air and Manish Pandey moves backward from mid off and takes a good catch. 8 needed off 9. Surely Bangalore cannot lose it from here. Right?

18.3 wd

Khaleel Ahmed to Washington Sundar. WIDE! Full and wide outside off, Sundar looks to play it but misses. It is outside the tramline. Wide signalled.

18.2 W

Khaleel Ahmed to Gurkeerat Singh Mann. OUT! Can this turn the tide of this game? Slower bouncer outside off, Gurkeerat Singh Mann looks to go over point but does not get the elevation. The ball goes straight to Yusuf Pathan who takes an easy catch. End of an excellent innings from Gurkeerat Singh Mann. But unfortunately he too cannot see his side home.

18.2 wd

Khaleel Ahmed to Gurkeerat Singh Mann. WIDE! Khaleel misses his line and bowls it down the leg side. Singh Mann looks to flick but misses. Wide signalled.

18.1 1

Khaleel Ahmed to Colin de Grandhomme. Full on off, CdG strokes it to long off for a single.

End of Over : 18 14 Runs 19.2: 165/4
17.6 1

Rashid Khan to Colin de Grandhomme. The batsman flicks it away with a wristy shot for a single. A wicket at last for Rashid but a sorry end to the League stage for him - 4-0-44-1.

17.5 0

Rashid Khan to Colin de Grandhomme. Full and outside off, de Grandhomme looks to drive but misses.

17.4 W

Rashid Khan to Shimron Hetmyer. OUT! Caught! Hetmyer cannot quite finish it off. Outside off, short and turning away, it is the googly which spins away. The West Indian backs away and punches this powerfully over extra cover. But Vijay Shankar is stationed perfectly at the ropes and he takes it easily, but just inside the ropes. The Chinnaswamy gives a standing ovation to Hetmyer. What a knock. 75 from 47 balls. Took the wind out of Hyderabad's sails. Just 12 needed now, from 14 balls.

17.3 6

Rashid Khan to Shimron Hetmyer. SIX! This is ending pretty quickly! A short ball, around middle and leg, Hetmyer rocks back and pulls it over long on!

17.2 1

Rashid Khan to Gurkeerat Singh Mann. Short again on middle, GSM plays it to long on and gets a single.
