Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Capitals Highlights And Cricket Score 20th Match - T20 Commentary
Bangalore failed to defend a total in excess of 200 in the previous match and this time around they have 149 runs in the kitty. Can they improve their bowling and defend the total? Delhi have faced some issues with their batting of late, so it's not going to be a straightforward chase. Let's wait and find out what happens in the second innings...
Kagiso Rabada says that after watching the games at Bengaluru he knew there was pace and bounce and luckily everything worked according to the plan for him. Tells that he bowled cross-seam deliveries after consulting Ishant as he was able to trouble the batsmen early on. Reckons that they have done well to restrict Bangalore and hopes that the batsmen will get the job done.
Delhi will be really happy with their effort so far in the match. Leaving alone Sandeep Lamichhane, all the bowlers were quite economical and played a major role in restricting the opposition. There was a moment in the match when 19 runs came from the 17th over and the hosts would have liked to capitalize from thereon. But Kagiso Rabada bowled an exceptional next over where he picked three wickets which included Virat Kohli and that derailed Bangalore completely. The South African is up for a chat now...
Wonderful bowling effort by Delhi to restrict Bangalore to a below-par total. Everything went according to the plan for the touring team in the field from the word go. They dismissed Parthiv Patel cheaply and bagged the wicket of AB de Villiers also inside the Powerplay. Virat Kohli decided to bat through but neither got much support nor much strike. He was dismissed in the 18th over and faced just 33 balls in his knock. Quite strange. Moeen Ali's cameo was the only moment when Bangalore managed to gain some upper hand but that was for a very brief period.
Kagiso Rabada to Tim Southee. Too full and on off, Southee squeezes it out to short third man for a run. Bangalore finish on 149/8!
Kagiso Rabada to Tim Southee. Safe! Short delivery dug in on middle, Southee pulled it to deep mid-wicket and hurried back for the second run. The throw from the deep was flat and the keeper took the bails off immediately as Southee dived in. They referred it upstairs and the replays found Tim safe. The desperate dive saved the Kiwi.
Run out appeal taken upstairs. Tim Southee is the man in question. Rishabh Pant does not look too confident. Let's see what the replays have to say.
Kagiso Rabada to Tim Southee. Once again follows the batsman down the leg side with a full toss, Southee hits it through mid-wicket and scampers back for the second run.
Kagiso Rabada to Tim Southee. Short again, following the batsman down the leg side, Tim tries pulling but misses.
Kagiso Rabada to Yuzvendra Chahal. Short in length on middle, pulled down to deep square leg for a run.
Kagiso Rabada to Tim Southee. Very full and on middle, Southee drills it down past the bowler for a single.
Yuzvendra Chahal walks out at number 10.
Chris Morris to Mohammed Siraj. OUT! No bat involved and Siraj has to go! Excellent delivery. It's full and on middle, Siraj walks across the stumps with the intention to play the paddle scoop. But he fails to connect properly and seems to have got hit on his left leg hanging in front of the stumps. The appeal is made and the finger goes up. They take the referral but to no use.
Shout for an lbw, the finger goes up. Siraj has a chat with his partner and takes the referral. Looks plumb if no bat...
Chris Morris to Tim Southee. Back of a length delivery on middle, Southee pulls it over mid on for one.
Chris Morris to Mohammed Siraj. A low full toss following the batsman down the leg side, Siraj pushes it down to long on for a run.

Mohammed Siraj walks out to bat. Also, Chris Morris to bowl the 19th over of the innings.
Kagiso Rabada to Pawan Negi. OUT! Pace and bounce, yet another batsman is hunted down. Rabada bends his back and bangs in a short ball in the line of the stumps. Negi leans back and tries to play the ramp shot but it takes the outside edge and goes behind. Rishabh Pant times his jump to perfection to take a superb catch. He appeals and then Rabada also turns to appeal. The finger goes up. 3 wickets and 5 runs from the over and it has completely derailed Bangalore.

Kagiso Rabada to Akshdeep Nath. OUT! Nath is dismissed as well. What an over from Rabada! He once again offers a little bit of width outside off and throws the bait. Nath walks into the trap as he tries dabbing it down to third man. Ends up getting an outside edge and Pant grabs the ball safely.
Kagiso Rabada to Akshdeep Nath. FOUR! Rabada offers width outside off, Nath uses the pace and runs it down fine to third man for a boundary.
The new man is Pawan Negi.
Kagiso Rabada to Virat Kohli. OUT! Rabada does the magic for Delhi! This is a body blow to the home team and such a big moment in the game. A cross-seam delivery, on a length around off at 142.1 kph, Kohli tries to take on the South African speedster but falls in the process. His idea was right but not the execution. He attempts to power it over the bowler's head but is a bit late in doing so. Mistimes it in the air and Shreyas Iyer comes running across to his left from long on to accept the catch. Quite uncharacteristic knock from Kohli is over.
Kagiso Rabada is back into the attack
Sandeep Lamichhane to Virat Kohli. Knocks a full ball down to long on for a run and retains strike. 19 from the over, Bangalore will hope that this is the start of something magical from hereon.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Virat Kohli. SIX! Kohli has pressed on the accelerator. Lamichhane feels the pressure and shortens his length on middle and leg. Virat anticipates it early, immediately goes on the back foot and rockets his pull shot over mid-wicket.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Virat Kohli. SIX! Kohli goes big! A flighted ball around off, Virat goes down on one knee and smokes it over mid-wicket for a biggie. Bangalore need many more!
Sandeep Lamichhane to Akshdeep Nath. Quicker one, a touch short and on off, Nath taps it down to backward point and takes a run.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Akshdeep Nath. FOUR! Nice attempt in the deep but still a boundary. Loopy and full outside off, Akshdeep runs down the track and lofts it over extra cover. Morris covers good ground to his left from long off, puts in a dive and tries to stop the ball but fails in his attempt.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Virat Kohli. Loopy and full on off, Kohli pushes it gently through covers for a run.
Chris Morris to Virat Kohli. Short in length and outside off, Virat goes on his toes and slaps it through cover-point for one. Keeps strike.

Akshdeep Nath is the new man in.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Moeen Ali. OUT! Googly does it for the spinner. He dishes it out cleverly outside off, probably sensed the charge from the batsman. Moeen is down the track in a flash, eyeing yet another big shot but the ball turns away to beat him and Rishabh Pant does the rest. A handy knock from the Englishman, he has certainly given some kick to the scoring rate.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Moeen Ali. Short and outside off, cut through the line but straight to the fielder at point.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Moeen Ali. SIX! Once again Moeen starts the over with a biggie! A flighted ball outside off, Moeen shimmies down the track and thwacks it over long off for a maximum. 100 up for Bangalore.
Sandeep Lamichhane is back on.
Ishant Sharma to Virat Kohli. A bouncer from Ishant. Kohli ducks and the square leg umpire feels that it's a fair delivery. No signal from here and an expensive over from Ishant comes to an end.
Ishant Sharma to Moeen Ali. Keeps it very full and outside off, once again Moeen drives but this time it goes straight to sweeper cover. They pick up a single.

Ishant Sharma to Moeen Ali. Very full and outside off at 143 kph, Moeen squeezes it out to covers.
Ishant Sharma to Moeen Ali. SIX! A back of a length delivery on middle and off, Moeen hangs on the back foot and muscles it over mid-wicket for a biggie. Good start to the over for Bangalore.
Strategic break. Delhi continue to be on top in this match and have bowled extremely well to keep the run-rate under check. They are bowling tidily and have picked wickets at regular intervals. However, with Virat Kohli still out in the middle, the visiting team cannot afford to get complacent. 7 overs left, let's see which team ends it on a high... Also, Ishant Sharma to bowl after the break.
Axar Patel to Moeen Ali. Single to end the over. It is shorter on off, Ali punches it to cover and keeps the strike. 11 runs off the over. A good one for Bangalore.
Axar Patel to Moeen Ali. On middle, Moeen taps it back to the bowler.
Axar Patel to Virat Kohli. Short again, Kohli pulls it away behind square for a single.
Axar Patel to Moeen Ali. Shorter on off, Moeen punches it off the back foot on the off side for a single.
Axar Patel to Moeen Ali. Comes down the track again but does not time it well. Floated on middle and off, Ali lofts it over covers for a couple.
Axar Patel to Moeen Ali. SIX! Don't even bother looking, this one is out of here. Moeen has decided to take the charge now. He comes down the track and whacks this tossed up ball into the stands behind mid-wicket for a mammoth one.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Moeen Ali. Knocks a full ball down through mid off for one. Six singles from the over, again.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Virat Kohli. A loopy delivery, full and wide outside off, Kohli stretches out for it and hits it in the air over mid off. Another run in the over.

Tells that he is doing his best in the nets and is working hard with Ricky Ponting and Sourav Ganguly.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Moeen Ali. Floated full outside off, Moeen strides forward and opens the face of his bat at the last moment. He pushes it in the direction of cover-point and crosses for a single.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Virat Kohli. Kohli has driven it through mid off. One run added to the total.
Axar Patel to Moeen Ali. Full and flighted on middle, Moeen flicks it on the leg side and looks for a run. He is sent back. Successful over, 3 runs and a wicket from it.
Axar Patel to Moeen Ali. Tossed up ball on middle, Moeen tries to work it on the leg side but gets a soft leading edge.
The next batsman in is Moeen Ali.
Axar Patel to Marcus Stoinis. OUT! Stoinis departs! Axar bowls it flatter and quicker around leg, following the batsman, Stoinis tries to pull it big but fails to pack his shot with enough power. An easy catch for Rahul Tewatia at long on. Virat Kohli is not looking too impressed with the shot selection. Bangalore lose their third wicket and need someone to support their skipper in the middle.
Axar Patel to Virat Kohli. Arm ball on the shorter side around off, Kohli goes back and drags it down to long on for a run.
Axar Patel to Marcus Stoinis. Shortish and on off, stroked off the back foot through covers for a single.
Movement near the sightscreen. Marcus Stoinis pulls out at the last moment.
Axar Patel to Virat Kohli. Short in length and on middle, pulled to deep mid-wicket for a single.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Virat Kohli. Too full in length on middle, not allowing the ball to do its bits, Kohli comfortably flicks it through wide mid on for a run. 10 from the over, a good one for the hosts.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Marcus Stoinis. A googly around off, not picked by Stoinis. He plays the guessing game as he strides forward to defend. But it takes the inside edge and rolls behind square leg for a single.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Virat Kohli. Turning away from the batsman outside off, on the shorter side, Kohli gently plays it down towards short third man for a run.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Marcus Stoinis. Driven through mid off by the batsman. One run added to the total.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Marcus Stoinis. Quicker one, flat and short on middle, Stoinis punches it off the back foot but fails to find the gap on the off side.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Marcus Stoinis. SIX! The spinner from Nepal is greeted with a biggie by the Australian batsman. A tossed up delivery landing full on middle, the length is quite to the liking of Stoinis who takes full toll and sends it packing over long on for a maximum.
Strategic Break - Delhi on top here in Bengaluru. They have got two big wickets and have also kept the scoring rate at under 6. Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli holds the key here for Bangalore. He and Marcus Stoinis will not just need to build a partnership, they will have to do so at a very good rate as well. Sandeep Lamichhane to bowl after the break.
Axar Patel to Marcus Stoinis. Fires one on the pads at 92 kph, Stoinis moves back and forces it down to long on. Six singles from the over and my ever alert colleague informs me that the last boundary came in the 5th over. Really tough going for Bangalore at the moment.
Axar Patel to Virat Kohli. Loopy and on off, Kohli eases it off his front foot through mid off for one.
Axar Patel to Marcus Stoinis. Slower through the air, bowled with a round-arm action. It lands full and on middle, Marcus drives it to long off for a run.
Axar Patel to Virat Kohli. Quicker and on the pads, flicked behind square leg for a single.
Axar Patel to Marcus Stoinis. Flatter, shorter and slower in the line of the stumps, Stoinis moves back and slaps it through covers for one.
Axar Patel to Virat Kohli. It's been driven superbly through the covers. They pick up a single.
Kagiso Rabada to Virat Kohli. In the air... SAFE! Rabada digs in a short ball on off, well-directed at the body of the batsman, Kohli fails to get any timing on his pull shot and top edges it. It flies and lands towards mid on as Rabada loses his balance in the followthrough. A single taken to complete yet another quiet over.
Kagiso Rabada to Marcus Stoinis. A bit short in length again, on middle, Stoinis works it to mid-wicket and crosses for a run.
Kagiso Rabada to Marcus Stoinis. A rising delivery, on off, Marcus goes on his toes and defends it to the off side.

Axar Patel to Marcus Stoinis. Flatter on off, skidding back in, Stoinis tries defending but gets an inside edge onto the pads. It rolls to covers. Just 2 from the over. Almost identical to the way the next over went after the fall of the first wicket.
Axar Patel to Marcus Stoinis. Shortish and on off, Stoinis punches it off his back foot but finds the cover fielder.
Axar Patel to Marcus Stoinis. Arm ball on off, skidding back in, Marcus blocks it back from the crease.

The new man in is Marcus Stoinis. Also change in bowling. Spin introduced for the first time today. Axar Patel to have a go with the ball. He has had some problem in his rib area.
Kagiso Rabada to AB de Villiers. OUT! Kagiso Rabada has hunted down the prized scalp of AB de Villiers. Just one more ball to go in the Powerplay and ABD attempts to gather a biggie from it. Kagiso though has smartly served another slower one at 121.7 kph. It's on a length and de Villiers tries to go downtown without accounting for the variation in pace. He hits it high in the air, his shot has got more height than distance and Colin Ingram runs back from mid on to take a fine catch. This is a big setback for Bangalore. Interestingly, once again a wicket has fallen after a wide delivery.
Kagiso Rabada to AB de Villiers. Wide! Rabada goes for the slower one this time but loses his radar. Slips it down the leg side at 124 kph, de Villiers tries flicking but misses.
Kagiso Rabada to Virat Kohli. This time clocks 151 kph as per the speed gun. Shortish and on off, Virat dabs it down to third man for one.
Kagiso Rabada to AB de Villiers. On a length around off, the speed gun shows 154.2 kph, hard to believe though. De Villiers stays back and guides it down to third man for a run.
Kagiso Rabada to Virat Kohli. Attempted slower one, too full and sliding down the leg side, Kohli flicks it through square leg and picks up a single.
Kagiso Rabada to Virat Kohli. Again the length is very full and the line is on middle and leg. Kohli flicks but finds the mid-wicket fielder.
Kagiso Rabada to Virat Kohli. Starts with a pitched up delivery outside off, Kohli drives it off his front foot but finds the fielder inside the ring on the off side.
Kagiso Rabada is introduced into the attack.
Ishant Sharma to AB de Villiers. FOUR! What a shot! The bowler tries his best to keep the line closer to the batsman but still ABD manages to create room after charging down the track. After that, the South African legend packs a punch past the diving cover fielder for a boundary.
Ishant Sharma to AB de Villiers. Up and over the infield! A little bit of room on offer outside off, de Villiers hits it through the line aerially. Doesn't find proper connection but still manages to clear covers. A couple of runs taken.
Ishant Sharma to Virat Kohli. Angles in a length ball on off, Virat tries to flick but misses and is hit high on the pads. The ball deflects in the gap on the off side and they cross for a leg bye.
Ishant Sharma to AB de Villiers. The batsman has played it towards mid-wicket. They pick up a single.
Ishant Sharma to Virat Kohli. Straighter in line, Kohli works it in the gap through square leg for a single.
Ishant Sharma to AB de Villiers. Good length delivery outside off, forced off the back foot through cover for a run.
Chris Morris to AB de Villiers. Trouble at the non-striker's end but there is no direct hit! Shortish ball outside off, AB punches it towards wide mid off and they cross for a hesitant run. The fielder misses his shy at the bowler's end otherwise de Villiers would have been a goner. There was an overthrow on offer but ABD had run too far.
Chris Morris to AB de Villiers. Good comeback delivery by Chris! Serves it on a shortish length around middle and leg, AB goes on the back foot and fends it down somehow.
Chris Morris to AB de Villiers. SIX! Connects and connects supremely this time. Morris delivers a short ball on off, de Villiers immediately gets on top of the bounce and powers it over mid-wicket for a biggie.
Chris Morris to AB de Villiers. Bat on ball this time. A good looking straight drive to a full ball but he finds the bowler who parries it towards covers.
Chris Morris to AB de Villiers. Play and a miss! AB de Villiers is itching here to dominate the bowler. Tries slapping a short ball outside off through the line but misses. Rarely you see him struggling this way.
Chris Morris to Virat Kohli. Fractionally short and outside off, Kohli goes on the back foot and punches it to the left of Axar Patel at cover-point. He goes down low quickly to pick the ball as the batsmen cross.
Ishant Sharma to AB de Villiers. Short and outside off, once again on the slower side, de Villiers mistimes his square cut to covers. Top over from Ishant, only two runs came off it.
Ishant Sharma to AB de Villiers. Slower one once again getting the better of de Villiers. Ishant has dropped it on the shorter side and ABD attempts to cut it off his back foot. It takes the inner half of his willow and rolls to mid-wicket.
Ishant Sharma to Virat Kohli. Back of a length ball on middle and off, Virat turns it in the gap at mid-wicket for one.
Ishant Sharma to AB de Villiers. Aerial but safe! Ishant manages to deceive the batsman with a slower one. It's a full ball on middle at 123 kph, a knuckle delivery, de Villiers picks it late and flicks it aerially towards mid-wicket. No fielder there inside the ring and the mid on fielder does the fielding. A single is pinched as that very fielder misses his shy at the bowler's end.
Ishant Sharma to AB de Villiers. This time the line is outside off from Ishant. It's on a length and AB pushes it with an angled bat to cover-point.
Ishant Sharma to AB de Villiers. Movement off the surface. A good length ball on off, shaping back in after landing, de Villiers eases it down off his pads to short fine leg.
AB de Villers walks out at number 3 to a huge reception from the Bengaluru crowd.
Chris Morris to Parthiv Patel. OUT! The extra ball in the over results in a wicket. Now, that's a rarity. Also, Parthiv falling cheaply has been a rarity this season. A delivery landing on a length and wide outside off, Parthiv throws his bat at it as he probably tries to go over covers. But he ends up slicing it down to third man. Sandeep Lamichhane in the deep makes no mistake and Morris ends a pretty ordinary over with a wicket.
Chris Morris to Parthiv Patel. Wide! Morris is very lucky there. A full toss down the leg side, Parthiv fails to get any bat behind it.
Chris Morris to Parthiv Patel. Bangs in a short delivery outside leg, Parthiv walks back and pulls it over mid-wicket. Once again there isn't much timing but he will get a couple of runs.
Chris Morris to Virat Kohli. Very full this time, almost a low full toss and on the pads, Kohli flicks it through square leg for a single.
Chris Morris to Parthiv Patel. Shortish again, Patel pulls but without much timing. It travels to deep backward square leg for a run.
Chris Morris to Virat Kohli. A touch short and close to the off stump, Kohli stays back and turns it on the leg side for one.
Chris Morris to Virat Kohli. FOUR! Edgy! Nervy beginning for Kohli. Back of a length delivery outside off, Kohli pushes inside the line tentatively as his intention probably was to run it down to third man. However, it comes from the outer half of his blade due to the extra bounce and flies past the diving wide slip fielder for a boundary.
No Kagiso Rabada, it's Chris Morris to bowl from the other end. A wide slip stays.
Ishant Sharma to Parthiv Patel. Better line and length. It's a slower one too. Very full and outside off, Parthiv pushes it out to cover-point. A decent start for both sides.
Ishant Sharma to Parthiv Patel. FOUR! No stopping this one! After consistently bowling in the corridor outside off, Ishant has changed his line for reasons best known to him. A length ball on middle and leg and Patel shows no qualms in heaving it over mid-wicket for a boundary.
Ishant Sharma to Parthiv Patel. Bangalore are away! Sharma bowls a shortish ball on middle, Patel pulls it behind square leg and Colin Ingram in the deep makes a fine stop near the fence. Saves two for his side.
Ishant Sharma to Parthiv Patel. Third play and a miss in a row. Sharma bowls this one further wide outside off, Patel flashes and misses. That wasn't too far from the tramline.
Ishant Sharma to Parthiv Patel. Beaten again! Not a good idea, Parthiv. He is chasing deliveries outside off and so far has failed to put bat on ball. Patel needs to keep that wide slip in mind.
Ishant Sharma to Parthiv Patel. Oh, good bounce! Ishant starts with angling a back of a length delivery outside off. Parthiv sticks back to flat-bat it through the line but misses.
All in readiness! The umpires come out on the ground. The Delhi unit is in a huddle and now out walk the opening batsmen of Bangalore - Parthiv Patel and Virat Kohli. Ishant Sharma to begin proceedings with the ball. A wide slip in place. Here we go...
Bangalore (Playing XI) - Parthiv Patel(WK), Virat Kohli(C), AB de Villiers, Marcus Stoinis, Moeen Ali, Akshdeep Nath, Pawan Negi, Tim Southee, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj.
Delhi (Playing XI) - Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer(C), Rishabh Pant(WK), Colin Ingram, Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris, Axar Patel, Kagiso Rabada, Ishant Sharma, Sandeep Lamichhane.
Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli also wanted to bowl as he was looking forward to chasing this time around. Informs that they have retained the last XI and have taken a lot of heart from the last match. Feels that they need to enjoy the game and show more composure in the last few overs.
Delhi captain, Shreyas Iyer says there is a bit of grass on the pitch and it looks like a good wicket. Feels it is difficult to know how much is enough while batting first and hence he wants to chase. Informs they are unchanged as the team wants to stick with the players and not change according to the pitch as he thinks it is important to maintain the balance in T20s.
Toss - The two skippers first sign the green jersey of Bangalore and then exchange saplings. Now, Virat Kohli flips the coin, Shreyas Iyer calls it correctly and DELHI WILL FIELD!
Pitch report - It's a beautiful pitch to bat on and the ball will come nicely onto the bat. The average score here is 189 and there is nothing much to offer to influence the skippers at the toss as the record is almost the same for defending teams and chasing teams (in the afternoon games). The surface is full of runs and we can expect yet another high-scoring humdinger at this venue.
Hello and welcome everyone for all the Sunday action from the Indian T20 League. First up, it's Bangalore facing Delhi at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The misery is not ending for the home team as they are now following a 5-match losing streak. They will be donning green today to promote their 'Go Green' initiative and will also hope to get the rub of the green. Delhi, on the other hand, have been finding ways to lose matches. They survived one through Super Over versus Kolkata, lost another after collapsing against Punjab and then got choked at their home venue on a much-talked Kotla surface. The boys from the capital city will be also eager to stop the losing rut on a ground which will favour their style of batting. We are hoping for an electric contest between bat and ball.
That's all from this match. Yet another loss for Bangalore and they are just refusing to turn up as a team. We now switch our attention to the next game of the evening between Kolkata and Rajasthan. See you soon. Cheers!
Man of the Match, Kagiso Rabada says that it's been a weird tournament for them as a team but he is glad that today it worked for him. Adds that he just tries to execute simple skills and bowl it in the decent areas. Mentions that he just backs himself and states that he is always there for his team. Tells that he tries to execute his skills at the start and at the death.
Victorious Delhi captain, Shreyas Iyer, says that the pitch was two-paced and really tough to bat on. Adds that he trusted his positive skills and did not want the bowlers to get on top. Stresses that the cut shot is his strength but he also focused on keeping the strike rotating by taking singles here and there. Reckons that Bangalore were 10-15 runs short and praises Kagiso Rabada on his bowling today. Is not too happy with the way Delhi achieved this win and wants the other batsmen to come good, though is also positive that they will come good as the tournament goes deep. Says that it is a great feeling to have won the game and then go back to see smiling faces in the dressing room.
Prithvi Shaw is now up for a chat. Says that Delhi seem to have made a habit of taking games close. Adds that finishing off matches was one aspect which was discussed in team meetings and hopes that the next contest does not run so deep. On his own form post that 99 against Kolkata, Shaw says that he enjoyed himself even today and wanted to take the onus of scoring runs quickly. On teams attacking him by bowling straight, Prithvi is not too worried about that and says that his main focus is on playing his own game.
Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli says that 160 was competitive. The pitch was dry but we kept losing wickets and he just wanted to take it deep. He says they did but it was not good enough. Tells that they can't give excuses every game and need to find a way to win. Says he was not happy with the way he got out and feels had he stayed till the end, they could have scored another 25-30 runs which could have made a difference. Feels Shreyas Iyer's dropped catch cost them the game, had it been taken, he feels they could have done well as Delhi panicked towards the end. Wants his team to play expressive cricket and take it easy.
The chase started for Delhi on a wrong note as they lost Shikhar Dhawan for a golden duck but after that Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer combined to raise a 68-run stand. The former, in particular, took Tim Southee to the cleaners in the third over where Delhi amassed 20 runs. That set the momentum for the run chase and the touring team never looked back. Bangalore was abysmal in the field and the dropped catch of Shreyas Iyer in the first over did cost them big time. Nothing much to write about the home team's bowling but credit should be given to Navdeep Saini and Moeen Ali for trying hard.
