End of Over : 20.0DC: 129/8
Now then, 130 is the target! Hyderabad are favorites heading into the second half but it won't be easy. Can the Delhi spinners have a say or will it be too easy for the visitors? Stay tuned to find out.
Mohammad Nabi who is up for an interview says he feels great to bowl like this in the T20 format. Reckons that the wicket is a little bit slower and it is difficult to bat on. Ends by saying that the dew seems to be settling in and it might make batting easier.
Delhi may just be one of those few teams in the world who are more uncomfortable at home than away. They never looked in this. You'd imagine they know the conditions best, but that wasn't the case to be. Their batsmen threw their wickets away cheaply except for the skipper Iyer. Axar Patel's late hitting in the final over might provide them with something to fight for.
This last over could be the turning point in the game. 140 would have been the target, but on this slow and turning wicket, it could just be enough. Just could be. Hyderabad dominated play for the most part, picking up Shaw early and then striking at regular intervals. It was a collective effort, as all the bowlers chipped in with the wickets. Barring that one dropped chance of Rabada, which virtually cost the visitors nothing, the fielders backed their bowlers well. Right towards the end though, in the final over, Kaul conceded big and let the momentum somewhat slip from his side.
19.66
Siddarth Kaul to Axar Patel. SIX! BOOM! Axar finishes the innings with a bang! 14 from the last three balls and 14 from the last over. Excellent from the left-hander. Once again he waits for the slower ball and then tonks it over the bowler's head. It goes all the way. DELHI FINISH WITH 129!
19.52
Siddarth Kaul to Axar Patel. A couple! Axar has crunched that. He dances down the track and strokes it through wide mid off. Long off does well to stop it with a dive. Stops two.
19.46
Siddarth Kaul to Axar Patel. SIX! All the way! Axar expects a slower one and gets it. It is on the leg pole. He lets it come to him and then lofts it over the wide long on fence. Delhi would love one more in the two balls to come.
19.30

Ishant Sharma is the new man in.
19.2W
Siddarth Kaul to Kagiso Rabada. OUT! Rabada's drop does not count for a lot. Another slower one does the trick for Hyderabad. It is outside off. Rabada looks to swing across the line but only manages a top edge. Kumar at short third man takes an easy catch.
19.10
Siddarth Kaul to Kagiso Rabada. A slower on outside off by Kaul. Rabada goes for a whack on off side. Fails to get any connection.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Kagiso Rabada. A single as this is mistimed towards mid off.
18.42
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Kagiso Rabada. DROPPED! Kumar could have easily got another! Easy catch that. Sharma is the culprit. This is on the pads. Rabada flicks it stylishly but uppishly towards deep square leg. Sharma there runs to his right, settles under it but drops it. The batsmen take two. Can Rabada make use of the reprieve and strike a few lusty blows?
18.31
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Axar Patel. A length delivery on off, Axar drives it to cover for a single.
Kagiso Rabada out now to bat.
18.2W

17.50

He bowls the googly, Iyer may have picked it as he looks to go with the turn with a slog sweep. The ball though does not bounce a lot, sneaks under the bat and hits the off pole. Khan is up and running in celebration.

It pitches on off. Morris has no idea which way the ball is turning and hence goes for the sweep shot again. He misses and the ball hits the back pad. Not such a great delivery, it is short and outside off. Ingram cuts it nicely but uppishly towards point. Pandey there moves swiftly to his left and takes it inches above the ground with a dive. Delhi now have half their side back in the hut. Into the bowling all-rounders are Hyderabad now. 130 seems difficult from this point. Everything depends on their skipper.

Credits the way Jonny Bairstow played at the start and also acknowledges the effort by the bowlers for the way they bowled. States that the wicket looked like a 140-150 one and they did really well to restrict them to the score they did. Ends by saying that he did get nervous towards the end and he feared a collapse but he is happy that did not happen.
Delhi skipper, Shreyas Iyer, says it was a difficult game and losing the toss also did not help. Admits that they did not play well as a batting unit but they should learn from this game and come out with a positive mindset in the next one. Mentions that 140 was the score he was looking for but they lost too many wickets early on and he did not get a lot of support. Appreciates the character shown by his team to pull the game back with the ball in the middle overs but unfortunately, they could not come out on top.
Delhi needed more wickets and that too quickly. The fact that they conceded as much as 62 runs in the Powerplay in itself proved to be a body blow to them. They came back well in the middle overs, recovering to a decent extent, but it wasn't enough. Barring Morris, everyone who bowled bagged a wicket each. Had Axar Patel grabbed on to that caught and bowled chance in the second over of the chase, things would certainly have been much more interesting. Earlier in the evening, Delhi posted 130 on the board, courtesy Iyer's anchoring knock and Axar's late flurry, but it didn't prove to be enough.
A comfortable win for the visitors in the end. They grab their third win of the season and go top of the table. The total was a moderate one, but the surface was always tricky. Though, Jonny Bairstow's fiery start put everything to bed. That set it up for the rest to come and made it easier for the batsmen to do their jobs. Some wickets fell at regular intervals, but Nabi came in and added the finishing touches to get his side over the line.

Axar Patel to Vijay Shankar. OUT! Delhi hanging in there! Once again the bowling change does the trick. Iyer hangs onto one this time. The slowness of the track comes into play here. This is short and around off, it turns away. Shankar looks to go over covers but is way too early in the shot as the ball sticks in the surface. Rabada bowls it very full and on middle. Warner clears his front leg and looks to go over mid off. Since it is too full, he fails to get under it and hence does not get the elevation. Rahul Tewatia to Jonny Bairstow. OUT! Well... this is interesting. No bat involved at all. Jonny Bairstow is gone. Strange, with how quickly he signalled the 'T', it appeared that there would be some bat involved. Anyway, Tewatia strikes and breaks this partnership. And he's got the dangerous Bairstow too. Quite full on middle and leg, the Englishman looks to flick it away but fails to make connection. He's caught on the front pad, a loud appeal goes up and so does the finger. Jonny takes the review, it goes upstairs and replays show he's gone for all money. He's done his job though, provided a start nobody expected on this kind of surface.
Review time. Bairstow has been given out lbw but he's quickly taken the DRS, meaning that there must be some bat involved. Let's see now.

2.60
Sandeep Lamichhane to David Warner. Fullish and outside off, keeps low, Warner makes room to crash it through the off side but fails to make connection.
2.50
Sandeep Lamichhane to David Warner. Not out! A poor review indeed. Lamichhane's too excited, Pant is a jittery character, Iyer isn't left with much choice. They might have needed that review later in the innings. It's flighted outside leg, the googly, it turns towards off a bit. Warner looks to work it on the leg side but is caught on the pads. Loud appeal goes up but the umpire rightly denies it. Sandeep is adamant he's got his man, Iyer as a result takes the DRS. Replays don't seem favourable for the hosts. They lose their only review.
Review taken. It's for an lbw decision against David Warner. It looks to be pitching outside leg. Going to be a poor review, this...

Some medical attention required for Axar. He got hit hard on the hands, must be stinging.
1.20
Axar Patel to Jonny Bairstow. DROPPED! That was hit hard straight back but Axar drops it. He gives some flight to this one, Bairstow dances down the track and hits it straight back from where it came. Axar there gets both his hands on the ball but the ball bounces out of his hands and rolls behind him. Axar turns back to take it on a second attempt but is not able to gather it. Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Highlights And Cricket Score 16th Match - T20 Commentary
Siddarth Kaul to Axar Patel. A couple! Axar has crunched that. He dances down the track and strokes it through wide mid off. Long off does well to stop it with a dive. Stops two.
Siddarth Kaul to Axar Patel. SIX! All the way! Axar expects a slower one and gets it. It is on the leg pole. He lets it come to him and then lofts it over the wide long on fence. Delhi would love one more in the two balls to come.
Siddarth Kaul to Axar Patel. Three dots in a row to begin the last over! The slower one and outside off, Axar once again swings across the line and misses.
Ishant Sharma is the new man in.
Siddarth Kaul to Kagiso Rabada. OUT! Rabada's drop does not count for a lot. Another slower one does the trick for Hyderabad. It is outside off. Rabada looks to swing across the line but only manages a top edge. Kumar at short third man takes an easy catch.
Siddarth Kaul to Kagiso Rabada. A slower on outside off by Kaul. Rabada goes for a whack on off side. Fails to get any connection.
Siddarth Kaul is called back on to bowl.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Axar Patel. FOUR! SHOT! Ends the over with a boundary, a much-needed one. Room on offer and Patel pounces on it. He smashes it through covers and it races away.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Kagiso Rabada. A single as this is mistimed towards mid off.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Axar Patel. A length delivery on off, Axar drives it to cover for a single.
Kagiso Rabada out now to bat.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Chris Morris. OUT! Another easy catch and the dangerous Morris is walking back. Once again it is the line wide outside off. Morris looks to go over covers. It is the slower one though. It hits the toe-end and lobs towards covers where Nabi takes it easily.

Sandeep Sharma to Axar Patel. Another dot! Not good this from Axar, he needs to give the strike over to Morris if he is not hitting the boundaries. Length and outside off. Patel looks to get bat on ball but misses.

Sandeep Sharma to Chris Morris. Dances down the track but Sandeep shortens his length. Morris pulls it through mid-wicket for a single.

An appeal follows but the umpire shakes his head. Replays show that the on-field call is right.

Siddarth Kaul to Colin Ingram. OUT! What a catch to dismiss Ingram! Manish Pandey is the fielder. Ingram will feel hard-done by there but he has to walk back.

He finishes with figures of 4-0-21-2.

Delhi needed him to continue batting. Very reckless from Rishabh. Nabi however, is delighted. He strikes on the very first ball of his final over. Excellent bowling change. He gives it a lot of air and lands it on off. Pant looks to loft it over mid off but does not get the distance. Deepak Hooda does well there to take a good catch. Delhi in trouble now.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Prithvi Shaw. OUT! The off stump goes for a walk! Bhuvneshwar Kumar strikes and he is pumped up. The slight change in grip does the trick for him. However, the shot by Shaw can be questioned here. On a slow and low wicket, not sure the cross-batted hoick was on. It is on a length and on off, does not bounce as much as Prithvi expects it to. He looks to hit it through mid-wicket but misses. Ideal start for Hyderabad after electing to bowl.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Prithvi Shaw. FOUR! What a shot to begin proceedings! Shaw is off the mark in style. Not a very bad delivery that, slightly behind the fuller length on off, Shaw waits for it and then places it in the gap in the cover region and the ball races to the fence.
We are all set for the action to begin! The Delhi openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw make their way out to the middle. The right-hander will be on strike and he will be facing Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Here we go...

Bhuvneshwar Kumar says that they want to bowl first. Mentions that it is a dry wicket but then he is more happy to chase. States that the dew might play a factor later on. Informs that they are unchanged.
TOSS - Hyderabad win the toss and they elect to field first.
Michael Slater is doing the pitch report and he starts by saying that the wicket has not changed since the last game. Adds that there is no grass on it at all. Informs that the pitch will be skiddy in the first 10 overs and in the next 10, it will start slowing down gradually. Reckons that spin will be the key for Delhi this evening if they want to stop the pair of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow.
Hello and welcome to the 16th game of this year's Indian T20 League. It is a clash between Delhi and Hyderabad in the former's den. The hosts are placed 5th on the table and the visitors 3rd. A win here for any of the teams will see them go top. Still early days though in the tournament but the view from the top is always a good one. Will Delhi get back to winning ways or will Hyderabad make it 3 in 3? We will have to wait to find out.
We're done with this one. Indian T20 League action continues on Friday, as Bangalore welcome Kolkata to the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The action begins at 2000 local (1430 GMT). Do join in for that one. Cheers!
Man of the Match, Jonny Bairstow, says the surface had less bounce than in Hyderabad, so is glad they won the toss. Adds that it's the first time he's played on such a track since the season began. States that he kept an eye out on things when they were bowling, which helped him assess the conditions well. Reckons that it's good that they've won three games on the bounce, and they have a good group of players, so is looking forward to the coming matches.
Hyderabad skipper, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, says he doesn't find captaincy easy, but is trying to do his best. Admits that he wasn't sure how the wicket would play, so was happy he won the toss and got a chance to assess the conditions. Mentions that he didn't think the wicket would be so slow. States that the wickets will be slower in the second half of the tournament, so will base their team combination on that. On Kane Williamson, he says that he's close to being fully fit, but they don't want to rush him.
Rashid Khan, who is up for a chat now, says it has been wonderful till now. Mentions that it was a team effort from them.
Kagiso Rabada to Mohammad Nabi. SIX! And Mohammad Nabi finishes it off in style! What a hit from the al-rounder, this is marvellous batting. Short and outside off, the Afghan makes a little room for himself and upper cuts it over the third man fence for a flat maximum. HYDERABAD WIN BY 5 WICKETS!
Kagiso Rabada to Mohammad Nabi. FOUR! That's clobbered! Superb hit from Nabi. Fuller in length and attacking the stumps, Nabi swings across the line and slogs it past the diving short mid-wicket fielder. The placement is so good it beats the man in the deep as well.

This is short and around off, it turns away. Shankar looks to go over covers but is way too early in the shot as the ball sticks in the surface. The ball goes off the toe-end and just about carries to Iyer who takes it with a dive ahead. 29 needed in 33. Two new batsmen out there.

Kagiso Rabada to David Warner. OUT! Warner is out of here now! Delhi have two in quick succession. Warner just never got going today and he perishes in the attempt to find the boundary. Rabada bowls it very full and on middle. Warner clears his front leg and looks to go over mid off. Since it is too full, he fails to get under it and hence does not get the elevation. It goes low towards mid off where Morris takes a good catch. Delhi fighting hard. They have a sniff here now.

Vijay Shankar is the new man in.

Rahul Tewatia to roll his arm over.
Kagiso Rabada to Jonny Bairstow. A low full toss on middle, this is hit down to long on for a single. End of the Powerplay and Hyderabad are cruising at the moment. They are 62 for no loss and another 68 needed.
Kagiso Rabada to Jonny Bairstow. FOUR! Educational edge! Lovely from Bairstow. The bowlers are just not sure where to bowl to him. This is on middle, JB plays it late and at the very end, opens the face of the bat. The ball goes off the outside edge and goes to the third man fence. Third in the over.
Kagiso Rabada to Jonny Bairstow. FOUR! Bairstow seems to be in a hurry here. His eighth four of the innings. Dealing just in boundaries here. Rabada bowls a length ball on middle, Bairstow stands in his crease and hits it straight back behind him and into the long off fence.

Axar Patel into the attack again.
Chris Morris to Jonny Bairstow. FOUR LEG BYES! Fourth of the over! This time it's not off the bat though. Morris bowls a length ball on the pads, Bairstow looks to flick but misses and the ball clips his pads and goes fine into the fence.

Chris Morris is on now.
Sandeep Lamichhane to David Warner. Fullish and outside off, keeps low, Warner makes room to crash it through the off side but fails to make connection.
Sandeep Lamichhane to David Warner. Slower through the air, the wrong 'un around off, Warner drives away from his body, a bit uppish off the outer half through the gap in the covers. Two runs taken.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Jonny Bairstow. Turns it against the spin through mid-wicket for a single.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Jonny Bairstow. FOUR! Not in complete control, but it's enough to find the boundary line once more. Full and faster in pace around off, Bairstow drags the slog in front of square leg. Enough pace on it, it beats the man out in the deep.
Sandeep Lamichhane to Jonny Bairstow. SIX! That's outta here! Times that beautifully. Tossed up right in the slot for Jonny Bairstow. He stays leg side, swings his bat and smokes it off the middle to clear long on with absolute ease.

Some medical attention required for Axar. He got hit hard on the hands, must be stinging.
Had he taken it, it would have been a big blow to Hyderabad and Delhi could have had an opening.

Sandeep Lamichhane to David Warner. Quick, short and turning in on middle stump, Warner goes back and keeps it out.
Sandeep Lamichhane to David Warner. Some action on the very first ball. Sandeep tosses it up on off, it's the googly, Warner looks to play the reverse sweep but it goes off his pads to Dhawan at first slip. Warner is out of his crease, so Shikhar hits the stumps at the keeper's end. No harm done though.
We are back for the chase. It will be the dynamite pair of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow to open the innings for Hyderabad. Sandeep Lamichhane to start the proceedings. Here we go...
