Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Highlights And Cricket Score 11th Match - T20 Commentary
Not a lot to write about the Bangalore bowlers. Chahal was the only one who managed to get some control. He finished with figures of 4-0-22-2. The rest were all taken to the cleaners. Umesh Yadav who was impressive in the last game went for 60 in his allotted four. Now they will have to put their performance with the ball behind and hope for their batters to do the job. They do have a powerful batting line-up and one would not rule them out of the game. We did see a total close to 200 being chased yesterday. Will it happen today? Join us for the chase to find out.
Matthew Hayden during the pitch report did mention, win the toss and bat first but Kohli did not listen to him. He might just live to regret his decision. As first Ajinkya Rahane took the attack to the bowlers in the Powerplay and provided the visiting team with a brisk start. However, two quick wickets after the first six saw the momentum turn towards the home side. But two partnerships, both involving Samson, one with Ben Stokes and another with Jos Buttler, helped them cross the 200-run mark and by some margin. They managed to get 88 runs in the last five overs to power themselves to the highest score in this year's Indian T20 League.
A power-packed batting display has seen Rajasthan post a daunting total here! Once again it is Sanju Samson who is the star for them as he walks off to a standing ovation. Let me remind you it was an innings off maximums by him. He hit 10 biggies and just two boundaries in the 92 he scored, which is a record for most maximums in an innings by any Rajasthan batsman.
Umesh Yadav to Sanju Samson. Finalllllyyyy, Yadav bowls a yorker, a little too late, Samson digs it out to covers and collects a single. 27 from the over, Rajasthan end on 217/4!
Umesh Yadav to Sanju Samson. SIX! Yadav has been taken to the cleaners is an understatement! It's fullish and outside off, Samson goes inside-out and thwacks it over extra cover for a maximum. That went like a rocket in the stand.
Umesh Yadav to Sanju Samson. SIX! Makes full utilization of the bonus delivery. Yadav is on the fuller side with his length, Sanju aligns himself and launches it over the bowler's head. Brendon McCullum attempts to catch it with a jump near the fence but to no avail.
Umesh Yadav to Rahul Tripathi. Oversteps this time, Yadav has completely lost control. A short delivery again has been pulled on the leg side for a run. Free Hit coming up!
Umesh Yadav to Rahul Tripathi. FOUR! Another one travels past the rope. Where is your yorker, Umesh? Bowls it short around off and Rahul packs a punch by pulling it over square leg for a boundary. 200 up for Rajasthan, already their best score against Bangalore.
Umesh Yadav to Rahul Tripathi. SIX! This time Yadav pays for not keeping it in the blockhole. That's right in the slot for Tripathi and he muscles it over long on for a biggie.
Umesh Yadav to Rahul Tripathi. A length delivery at this stage is a crime, Yadav commits it and gets away with it. Only a couple as Tripathi smashes it to deep mid-wicket. A good stop in the deep by Pawan Negi.
Umesh Yadav to bowl the final over.
Chris Woakes to Sanju Samson. FOUR! Catch is the call but it is out of the reach of the fielder. Fuller outside off, Samson slashes hard at it. It goes uppishly towards sweeper cover. The fielder there runs to his left, dives and tries to catch it but can't reach it. 17 and a wicket from this over and 200 is now very much possible.
Chris Woakes to Sanju Samson. FOUR! First boundary for Samson in this innings. And this has been brilliantly played. Not a lot wrong with the delivery. Woakes bowls a yorker on off, Samson jams it out and past the keeper for a boundary.
Chris Woakes to Sanju Samson. SIX! Boundaries, what is that? Samson only deals in maximums. A slower ball on middle, Sanju picks it early and sends it sailing over the long on fence.
Chris Woakes to Rahul Tripathi. The batsman defends it from within the crease. They pick up a single.
Rahul Tripathi is the next man in.
Chris Woakes to Jos Buttler. OUT! Woakes gets his countryman! That ends a quickfire 73-run stand. A low full toss on middle by Woakes. These are always difficult to put away. Buttler tries to go over mid off but does not get the elevation as he holes out to Virat Kohli in that position. Kohli will be relieved to see the back of Buttler as he is very dangerous towards the end.
Chris Woakes to Jos Buttler. A low full toss on off, Buttler slices it towards deep point for a brace.
Kulwant Khejroliya to Sanju Samson. SIX! This is the SHOT OF THE MATCH! WOW! Two maximums to finish the over. Another full ball on middle, Samson moves away and just chips it over the bowler's head. Such is the timing that it goes all the way. 16 from this over, can they get to 200?
Kulwant Khejroliya to Sanju Samson. SIX! Spoils the over! You just can't miss your mark! This one is fuller, on off. Enough for Samson to get under it as he lofts it over long off for a biggie.
Kulwant Khejroliya to Jos Buttler. Make that four from four! Another one in the blockhole. Buttler squeezes it out through covers for a run.

Chris Woakes to Jos Buttler. SIX! Once again it is not the yorker and it has been sent into the stands. Why Woakes, why? He has bowled four yorkers in this over and all went for singles. The two balls he has bowled on a length have been pulled over the mid-wicket fence. 15 from this over, there is no stopping these two.

Chris Woakes to Sanju Samson. SIX! I don't think that was off the middle but it has gone all the way! Woakes bowls a length ball, not a good idea at this stage. Samson pulls it and he just clears the man at deep mid-wicket for a biggie.
Chris Woakes to Sanju Samson. Excellent start! A brilliant yorker on off, not much you can do with that as Samson jams it out to the bowler.
Chris Woakes is back into the attack.
Umesh Yadav to Sanju Samson. Slower ball on the pads, Samson works it towards square leg for a quick run. So a good comeback by the bowler after going for 8 from the first ball. Just 5 from the last 5.
Umesh Yadav to Jos Buttler. Back of a length on off, Buttler pushes it towards covers for a run.
Umesh Yadav to Jos Buttler. Fuller on the pads, Buttler flicks it in the gap between long on and deep mid-wicket. McCullum from long on does well to run to his right and keep it down to two. What an athlete he is!

Umesh Yadav to Sanju Samson. Very full on middle, Samson flicks it straight to square leg.
Umesh Yadav to Sanju Samson. SIX! How do you make full use of the Free Hit? Samson just shows the right way. He gets another gift, a full toss on middle, it still has to be put away as Samson flicks it over the mid-wicket fence. 8 runs from 1 ball in this over.

He is helped by Chahal as he bowls a full toss. Jos hits it off the middle and through backward point for a boundary. So even though a wicket has fallen, Rajasthan will keep playing high-risk shots.
Jos Buttler makes his way out to the middle.
Yuzvendra Chahal to Ben Stokes. OUT! CHOPPED ON! The bowling change has done the trick. What a wicket to take to become the highest wicket taker for Bangalore! The dangerous Ben Stokes is walking back. Yuzvendra tosses this one up outside off, it might be the wrong 'un. Stokes tries to clear the leg side fence with a slog sweep but gets a bottom edge which disturbs the furniture behind. So, a timely wicket for Bangalore as this partnership was starting to flourish. Another stand which fails to cross the 50-run mark.
Yuzvendra Chahal to Sanju Samson. On the pads, worked around the corner for a run.
Yuzvendra Chahal is back on.
Kulwant Khejroliya to Ben Stokes. Once again brilliant fielding! We saw Hyderabad were brilliant in the field yesterday and today Bangalore have been really good. Stokes gets a full toss on leg stump, he flicks it fine on the leg side. Woakes runs to his left, slides and he seems to have stopped it. They go upstairs to check and he has done just fine. Two runs. 15 from the over!

Kulwant Khejroliya to Ben Stokes. SIX! This is even better! Stokes on the charge here. Short and on the body, too easy for Ben as he pulls it over the square leg fence and the ball clears the rope. So runs starting to come thick and fast here for Rajasthan.
Kulwant Khejroliya to Ben Stokes. FOUR! This time he gets the timing right! Excellent placement! On a length outside off, Stokes guides it through backward point and with the third man up that is a boundary all day.
Kulwant Khejroliya to Ben Stokes. Stokes has not found his timing here! He once again comes down the track and tries to cut it but gets a bottom edge to the keeper. Would have easily dragged it on.

Washington Sundar to Sanju Samson. Sensible batting, got a maximum off the last ball and now rotates strike as he eases it down to long on.
Washington Sundar to Sanju Samson. SIX! STAND AND DELIVER! What a shot! Sundar bowls it on middle, it is flat and at a good pace for the batsman. Samson stands tall, trusts the pitch and lofts it over long on for a biggie.

Ben Stokes is the next man in.
Yuzvendra Chahal to D'Arcy Short. OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! For a change he has not been run out but still fails to make an impact. It is bowled short and quicker outside off, Short should have put that away with a cut shot. Yuzvendra Chahal is into the attack.
Umesh Yadav to Ajinkya Rahane. FOUR! Dealing in boundaries is Rahane! Rajasthan are off to a very good start. End of another good over for them. Yadav once again makes the mistake of bowling it too full and on the pads. Rahane flicks it through mid-wicket and there is no stopping that ball.

Chris Woakes to D'Arcy Short. Short and wide outside off, Short slashes at it but does not connect. He will be disappointed there as he loves such deliveries. A scoring opportunity goes abegging.
Chris Woakes to Ajinkya Rahane. A muted appeal but nothing from the umpire. On the pads again, Rahane misses the flick to get hit on the pads. The ball rolls towards square leg and the batsmen run a leg bye.
Chris Woakes to Ajinkya Rahane. FOUR! First of the game! Top shot this by Rahane! The key here was he picked the length early. Woakes bowls this one a touch short on middle, Rahane transfers his weight on the back foot and pulls it over mid-wicket and the ball races away. Rahane is looking to score right from the outset. Good by the Rajasthan skipper.

It is HOT AND SUNNY here in Bangalore today. The players and the umpires make their way out to the middle. Ajinkya Rahane and D'Arcy Short will open the innings for Rajasthan. Bangalore start with spin as Washington Sundar has the new ball in his hand. Here we go...
Ajinkya Rahane starts by saying they were also looking to bowl first but now it does not matter. Further adds they believed in themselves in the last game and their bowlers did an incredible job. Informs they are playing an unchanged XI.
Virat Kohli starts by saying that batting first might be a little tricky as under lights the ball might come onto the bat better. Further adds he felt the wicket would play better in the last game but it was a little slow. Reckons bowling first will give them an idea about the wicket. Admits they are looking to be brave and not to be complacent. Informs they have one change, Pawan Negi comes in for Sarfaraz Khan.
TOSS - Bangalore win the toss and they opt to field first.
PITCH REPORT - Matthew Hayden says it looks a dry wicket and the cracks are starting to open up. He reckons the toss will make a big difference. Talks about the history and mentions that, in 2016 around 200 was the average total on this surface which dropped to 140 last year. Opines the team winning the toss should bat first and post a big total.
Bangalore on the other hand, also have won one and lost one. They too will hope their captain who has not looked himself, to come to the fore in this clash. Also, Sarfaraz Khan who has failed to make an impact till now might just be left out of the side. Both the teams have star-studded players in their ranks. But the home side will head into the game as favorites. Let us hope for another thriller. Stay tuned for further updates.
Hello and welcome to game 11 between Bangalore and Rajasthan at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Another intriguing clash is what awaits us. Ben Stokes, AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli and many other players are in action here today. That should surely excite many. However, Stokes has yet not fired for the visitors and they would surely hope today is his day. They bagged their first win of the campaign in their last match and they would want to make it two with a victory here.
The Man of the Match award has been given to Sanju Samson for his blazing knock. Action though is not over for today. You can now switch tabs and go to the other game between Punjab and Chennai where the latter have elected to field first. Cheers!
he introduction of Shreyas Gopal, however, changed the complexion of the game. He first got Kohli and then also took the wicket of AB de Villiers. He finished with figures of 4-0-22-2 and ensured Rajasthan had their noses way ahead in the game. Mandeep Singh and Washington Sundar did try to put up a fight towards the end but their effort was never going to be enough.
Chasing a massive total, Bangalore got off the worst possible start as they lost McCullum early. But Kohli and de Kock then joined forces. The former looked to be in sublime touch and the two added a quickfire 77-run stand before the wicket-keeper batsman departed. Kohli then stitched another association with AB de Villiers and at one stage they were on track to overhaul the target with the skipper bringing up his half-century.
So a convincing victory in the end for Rajasthan as they win their second game in a row. Chasing the target has been the norm in this tournament so far but not for Rajasthan. They have won both their games batting first and their batsmen set up this game for them beautifully.
Ben Laughlin to Mandeep Singh. No, he can't! A dot to finish! Full and outside off, Singh swings but misses. RAJASTHAN WIN BY 19 RUNS!

Ben Stokes to Washington Sundar. OUT! Stokes has the last laugh! But a good innings by Sundar comes to an end. He did fight but the task was always going to be an uphill one.
