Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians Highlights And Cricket Score 31th Match - T20 Commentary
The run out though of McCullum changed the momentum as after that the hosts kept losing wickets with Hardik Pandya taking three in one over. The home side then looked like they would struggle to cross the 150-run mark. However, a 24-run last over saw them get close to the 170-run mark. The wicket is quite slow and Mumbai will have to bat really well to get to it. They do have a strong batting line-up and the hosts' bowling hasn't been upto the mark this season. Let us see if it can come to the fore tonight. Join us for the chase in a while.
So an excellent last over for Bangalore has seen them post a total which can prove to be more than competitive on this wicket. They were put into bat and their openers got them off to a very good start with Manan Vohra making most of the opportunity given to him. Once the two openers departed, Virat Kohli and Brendon McCullum joined forces and stitched a 60-run stand and while the two were batting, something above 180 looked possible.
Mitchell McClenaghan to Colin de Grandhomme. SIX! Yes, he can! He has tonked it. 24 from the last over and the look on Rohit Sharma's face says it all. De Grandhomme has made full use of the Free Hit as he sends it sailing over the long off fence. BANGALORE FINISH WITH 167 ON THE BOARD!
Mitchell McClenaghan to Colin de Grandhomme. NO BALL and to add to that it is a SIX! Drama at the end. This was turning out to be a decent last over but this has spoiled it. A high full toss and on middle, Colin says thank you so much and deposits it into the square leg stand for a biggie. A Free Hit coming up, can de Grandhomme finish the innings in style?

Jasprit Bumrah to Tim Southee. OUT! Another one bites the dust and once again it was the slower ball which does the trick. Outside off. Southee tries to drag it over deep mid-wicket. He only gets height on it and not the distance. Cutting steadies himself under it and takes a tumbling catch.

Informs Washington Sundar comes in for Murugan Ashwin.
Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai skipper says that it is a good pitch and it has always been good here at Bangalore. Reckons that dew may come in later and it may become easier in the second half. Ends by saying that Evin Lewis has injured his wrist and Kieron Pollard will take his spot.
TOSS - Mumbai have won the toss and will take the field first.
Another Virat Kohli vs Rohit Sharma encounter awaits us. It is Bangalore who host Mumbai for game no. 31 of this year's Indian T20 League. The visitors go into this game with a very good record against the home side. They have won their last four encounters at the Chinnaswamy and have beaten them in the last five fixtures. They got back to winning ways in the last game and will look to do the same today. The hosts on the flip side have lost their last two games at home and will want to change that today. A slip up is something both can't afford. The two have always provided entertaining clashes and one can expect the same here today. Toss and team news on the way.
That's it from us here. Bangalore put aside all the things said about their bowling. They backed themselves and did the job for their team tonight. With this win, Bangalore jump to fifth place. Tomorrow, on 2nd May, Delhi welcome Rajasthan at their home turf. That game will begin at 2000 local (1430 GMT). Join us for all the live updates from that game. Cheers!
The Man of the Match award has been given to Tim Southee for his figures of 4-0-25-2. He was pivotal at the death and didn't let the batsmen get under him. Bowled yorkers at will to which the batters had no response.
Mumbai had a challenging total on their hands as the wicket was a bit slow. They needed a good start but didn't get it. Lost wickets at regular intervals and kept too much at the back end. They lost four inside the first ten and just when Duminy and Hardik looked to steady the ship, a piece of brilliance from Umesh Yadav saw the former getting run out. Then, the Pandya brothers did revive the Mumbai hopes with a 56-run stand. But they had no answer to the death bowling of Bangalore and in the end they finished short of the target.
Finally Bangalore's bowling came to the fore! They were exceptional tonight. After a strong finish with the bat, they carried their momentum onto the field. They came out all fired up by pegging back Mumbai early in the innings, picking up three wickets inside the Powerplay. They did lose steam in the middle but some fine death bowling by Mohammed Siraj and Tim Southee made sure that they taste victory tonight.
Tim Southee to Ben Cutting. SIX! But it does not matter. BANGALORE WIN BY 14 RUNS! This is full and on off. Cutting tonks it over the long off fence for a maximum. Finally, Virat Kohli can afford to smile, the home side stays alive in the tournament.

Tim Southee to Hardik Pandya. OUT! Game, set and match? It has to be. What a ripper of a catch by Kohli. He pulled something similar in his last game but ended up on the losing side. Can this catch help him win this game? The slower ball on middle, Pandya hits it towards long on. It is uppish but for a second he must have felt he is safe. But Kohli in the deep runs forward, dives and takes it inches above the ground. Pandya gets to his fifty and is walking back. Mitchell McClenaghan is the next man in.
Mohammed Siraj to Ben Cutting. Just a couple to end the over! Excellent from Siraj. He serves a full toss on middle, Cutting can't take full toll of it as he hits it towards deep mid-wicket for a brace.

Mohammed Siraj to Krunal Pandya. NOT OUT! There is bat involved! A full toss on middle, this was right in the arc for Krunal. He however, seems to have missed it to get hit on the pads. The players appeal but the umpire shakes his head. Kohli takes a late review. Replays show there was an inside edge. The batsmen crossed over for a run before the review was taken. Nevertheless, Krunal will be disappointed with himself as that should have been put away.
Review time! A huge appeal for LBW has been given not out. Kohli wants it to be reviewed. Krunal is the man in question. Impact is an issue.
