2nd Inn
End of Over : 20.0MI: 186/8
There was a slight hold up in play as couple of light towers broke down. On resumption, Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya counter-attacked the bowlers. The duo added a 65-run partnership for the fifth wicket and were all set to end on a high. However, Punjab once again made a mini comeback in the game with wickets in the death overs and restricted them under 190. Ashwin got the important wickets and he along with Tye ensured not too many runs were leaked in the final few overs. Punjab have a daunting task awaiting them, 186 is a massive score to overhaul in a game. Can they hold on to their nerves and chase under pressure? We will find out soon, do join us back in a while for the run chase.
Mumbai have ended up with a good score on the board. I term it as a good score purely because of the state their innings was in at the half way stage. Mumbai started really well, Suryakumar Yadav looked in great rhytm as the hosts smashed 37 off the first three overs and they were all set to dominate the game. Punjab though had the other plans, Tye struck thrice and a wicket from Rajpoot ensured the contest was tilting in their favor at the half way mark. The visiting team pulled things back quite sharply courtesy clever variations from the Aussie who by far the best bowler of the evening. It was his third Four-fer in this last four games, he has been in some phenomenal form.
19.61
Mohit Sharma to Mayank Markande. So not much damage from the resulting no ball in the end, but still, the hosts have managed to get three extra runs. Could be all the difference when it comes down to it. Markande works this off his pads on the leg side and takes a single. MUMBAI FINISH ON 186/8!

Gets a top edge which flies into the hands of Ashwin at short fine leg. The umpire, for some reason, thinks it's a no ball and takes it upstairs. The TV umpire too thinks the same and signals a no ball. Not sure how when Mitch was practically on the floor. Anyway, Free Hit coming up...
McClenaghan is given out caught at short fine leg. Height seems to be the issue for the umpire. Let's check it upstairs.

Hello and a warm welcome to our coverage of the game between Mumbai and Punjab. 50th game of the Indian T20 League, Wankhede is the venue. The ground where Rohit's team has often done well in crunch games but the head-to-head record is in the favor of the traveling team. They have won four here, one more than Mumbai. So, can they do it again? We will find out soon. The Men in Blue's three-match winning streak was by ended by Rajasthan and their chances of advancing further in the tournament were dented badly. Now, they find themselves in a position where even two wins won't guarantee them a place in the playoffs. The visitors have seen a serious dip in form and have only won one of their last six. All-important game coming up in a while, stay tuned!
End of Over : 20.0KXIP: 183/5
The Wankhede witnessed its team pulling off a super win and staying alive in the competition. The table looks quite interesting now, with Mumbai, Rajasthan and Punjab all on 12 points, but the hosts of tonight moving to 4th place due to the NRR. All becoming real intriguing now. On the 18th, already qualified Hyderabad go on the road to face Bangalore and the action begins at 2000 local (1430 GMT). Join in for all the action. Cheers!
Jasprit Bumrah receives the Man of the Match award. His spell in the death, where he took 3 wickets in two overs, including the likes of Aaron Finch and KL Rahul, was the turning point in the outcome of the game.
The Mumbai bowlers did decently overall, but they were never really on top, well, till Jasprit Bumrah decided to bump things up a notch. Showed why he's considered the best death bowler in the world when he got rid of Finch and Stoinis in the 17th over itself. That swung the momentum in his side's over. And if that wasn't enough, he dismissed Rahul in his next over. That effectively won his team the game and McClenaghan cleaned up after him. Mumbai kept it close, but they live to fight another day. Earlier in the evening, Mumbai powered to a good score courtesy a fifty from Kieron Pollard and a sensible supporting role from Krunal Pandya. It was enough to get the two points.
A sigh of relief from Rohit Sharma after that final ball should tell you just how much this victory means to him and his side. It wasn't an easy one by any means. With 187 to gun down, Rahul and Gayle provided a brisk start before the latter departed. Though, post that, Rahul and Finch took up the mantle and scored a century stand to be in control of the chase. Wickets just fell towards the end at the wrong time and it all fell apart. KL Rahul is an unfortunate man though. Once again, he stayed there almost till the end and fell 6 short of what would have been a well-deserved ton. Surely would have liked to finish things off.
19.64
Mitchell McClenaghan to Manoj Tiwary. FOUR! Tiwary scores a boundary off the final ball but it doesn't matter. He swivels across and pulls it across the deep backward square leg fence. MUMBAI WIN BY 3 RUNS!
19.51
Mitchell McClenaghan to Axar Patel. Safe! A legal delivery now and Mumbai win. Good bowling. McClenaghan bangs it short outside off, Axar fails to connect and both batsmen set off as the keeper throws it at the stumps at his end. Misses, the bowler takes it and does the smart thing by not throwing it. Takes the bails off by jogging to the stumps, replays show Axar is safe but more importantly, no extra run conceded.
A run out appeal against Axar Patel is referred upstairs.
19.46
Mitchell McClenaghan to Axar Patel. SIX! Axar Patel with a beauty! Still a twist left in this entertaining tale? Full toss and he smokes this over wide long on to clear the rope.

19.3W
Mitchell McClenaghan to Yuvraj Singh. OUT! Yuvraj holes out! McClenaghan gets the breakthrough! Angles across a full ball outside off, Yuvraj lofts it over covers but doesn't get the desired connection. 19.11
Mitchell McClenaghan to Axar Patel. Very well bowled. The Kiwi comes from around the wicket and fires it full and across Axar Patel. He moves a step across, gets low to slog it but misses. They steal a bye but it's not a wide. So that's the important bit for Mumbai.
Mitchell McClenaghan to bowl the final over. He has 16 to defend.

17.11

He skies this in the mid-wicket area, where Hardik comes running from long on. Settles himself under it and takes a superb catch.
Jasprit Bumrah back on. Going to be a crucial over, this.
End of Over : 1618 RunsKXIP: 145/1

Mumbai Indians vs Kings XI Punjab Highlights And Cricket Score 50th Match - T20 Commentary
Mitchell McClenaghan to Manoj Tiwary. FOUR! Tiwary scores a boundary off the final ball but it doesn't matter. He swivels across and pulls it across the deep backward square leg fence. MUMBAI WIN BY 3 RUNS!
