Delhi Daredevils vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Highlights And Cricket Score 45th Match - T20 Commentary
Bangalore will be deeply disappointed with the way the innings ended. Their bowlers let it loose once again and have given away at least 25 runs extra at the death. Chahal was the standout bowler tonight for the visiting team while Moeen Ali also bowled quite well. Let's see how Bangalore approach this chase in a must-win situation. Do join us in a short while.
Put to bat, Delhi lost both their openers in a quick succession. Yuzvendra Chahal was roaring at the beginning and was too hot to handle. Post that, the pair of Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer steadied things with a partnership worth 93 runs in which the former, in particular, played the dominant role. Once again Pant looked set for a big innings but it was cut short by Moeen Ali. Shreyas Iyer, in all honesty, struggled to get going tonight and played a scratchy knock.
Yet another talent unearthed. Abhishek Sharma! The young man emerged on the scene and went berserk from the word go. The Delhi innings was meandering along after losing the wickets of Pant and Iyer but Abhi shaked things up and powered them to a very challenging total.
Mohammed Siraj to Vijay Shankar. Sharp delivery, 142.6 kph, angling into the batsman, Vijay powers it over the bowler's head for a run. Delhi end on 181/4!
Mohammed Siraj to Abhishek Sharma. No, is the answer. Reaches out for a full ball outside off and drives it to deep cover for a run.
Mohammed Siraj to Abhishek Sharma. FOUR! Brute force! This is in line of the stumps, Sharma backs away a bit to make space and bludgeons it straight back. The umpire takes evasive action and quickly moves away from the line of fire. AB de Villiers tries his best to cut it off in the deep but fails. Can Abhishek get to his fifty?
Mohammed Siraj to Abhishek Sharma. SIX! High and handsome! This young man is stealing hearts with his knock. Picks the slower one by Siraj early and sends it packing over long off for a biggie. 50-run stand comes up.

Tim Southee to Vijay Shankar. Clever change in pace. A length ball outside off, Shankar goes hard at it and mistimes his shot down to long on for a single. It's called a no ball as there was one less fielder inside the ring. Free Hit coming up. This is very sloppy from Bangalore.

It flies off the upper half of the willow and goes towards sweeper cover. Siraj in the deep feels that the ball is dying in front of him and hence charges forward. Puts in a dive but fails to hold on to the catch. What's worse? It has gone to the boundary as well.

He doesn't manage to generate enough power this time and can't even find the gap between the two men at deep mid wicket and long on. Virat Kohli feels that the pitch won't change much during the course of the game and there will be the dew factor later in the evening. Also, adds that it's a hard ground to defend. Further says that they have to win four out of four and then sit back and wait. Admits that they have not played to their potential yet. One change for Bangalore, Sarfaraz Khan replaces Manan Vohra.
Toss - Up goes the coin, Virat Kohli calls it correctly and BANGALORE WILL FIELD!
Welcome back for the second match of the evening. It's the bottom of the table clash between Delhi and Bangalore at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Both teams are still in contention for the playoffs, mathematically, and a loss today will put a full stop to their hopes. It's gonna be an electric bout as there will be plenty of quality T20 players embracing the field. Stick around for more updates...
We're done with today's double-header. A straightforward win for Kolkata earlier in the evening to strengthen their position in the points table while Bangalore are doing just enough to hang in there. Tomorrow once again we have a couple of games lined up for you. Chennai will be hosting Hyderabad in Pune at 1600 IST (1030 GMT) and then Mumbai will welcome Rajasthan at the Wankhede Stadium at 2000 IST (1430 GMT). Do join us for all the action. Cheers!
AB de Villiers is chosen for the Man of the Match award. He played yet another dazzling knock and stayed till the end after the dismissal of Virat Kohli to make sure Bangalore cross the line safely.
For Delhi, their bowling started on a bright note but didn't show enough fire after that. Debutant Sandeep Lamichhane showed a lot of promise but apart from him, there wasn't much resistance offered. Earlier, Rishabh Pant once again played a breezy knock to set things up for Delhi and a newcomer, Abhishek Sharma set the stage on fire with his 19-ball 46 to take the hosts to 181 which eventually proved to be insufficient.
The chase for Bangalore started on a sorry note as they lost both their openers cheaply. Delhi would have hoped to strangle the visiting team but the pair of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers joined forces to build a match-winning partnership. Their 118-run association crushed all the Delhi dreams, if there was any, as they romped home with an over to spare.
A desirable result for Bangalore and they continue to stay alive in the tournament. Virat Kohli has a big smile on his face as he comes on the ground to shake hands with everyone. A clinical chase by the visiting team to complete their sixth win in a row at the Kotla. Contrasting scenes in the Delhi camp, they are now well and truly knocked out.

Harshal Patel to Sarfaraz Khan. OUT! What was that? Patel bowls a sharp delivery but fails to land it. It's a low full toss dipping into the batsman and Khan tries to scoop it over the keeper. Fails to get the proper connection and ends up chipping it towards fine leg, close to long stop in fact. Prithvi Shaw is standing very straight at fine leg, not sure whether it's an intentional field positioning or young Shaw was out of place. Anyway, the catch comes to him and he grabs it in the second attempt. End of a little cameo by Sarfaraz.
Harshal Patel to Sarfaraz Khan. Change of pace. A slower one, short and outside off, Khan is completely deceived and misses. De Villiers has a word with Sarfaraz.

Appeal for an lbw. Not given and Shreyas Iyer has referred it. That looks to be missing leg. A review in desperation, have to stay.
Harshal Patel is back on.

Trent Boult to Sarfaraz Khan. Fuller in length and on the pads of the batsman, it's flicked behind square leg for a run.
Trent Boult to AB de Villiers. A low full toss outside off, de Villiers digs it out through cover-point for a single. No need to do anything fancy and AB knows that.
Trent Boult to Sarfaraz Khan. Nicely played! Angling away from the new batsman, on a good length, Sarfaraz just gives it direction and guides it towards third man for a single.
Sarfaraz Khan is the new batsman.
Trent Boult to Mandeep Singh. OUT! And Boult makes an immediate impact with a wicket. Hurls across a back of a length ball around middle and off, skidding off the surface, Mandeep stays back to hit it across the line but fails to make any sort of connection.
