Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings Highlights And Cricket Score 35th Match - T20 Commentary

End of Over : 20.0 RCB: 127/9

Bangalore further lost their way after Patel's departure as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Chennai were hoping to finish things quickly at that time but Southee had other ideas. He scored vital 36 runs and helped his team reach some respectability. The Chennai bowlers were outstanding, in particular, the spinners. Jadeja and Harbhajan kept a tight lid on the scoring rate and ruled the middle phase of the innings. The other bowlers were also clinical with their performance and altogether the home team will be delighted. Will it be a cakewalk for Chennai? Bangalore though would be trying to replicate similar kind of bowling performance. Do join us in a short while for the chase.

Great bowling performance by Chennai, although Tim Southee stole the show a little bit towards the end with his cameo. It was a messy inning from Bangalore as Parthiv Patel and Tim Southee were the only two batsmen who managed to get past the double-digit scores. Brendon McCullum, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers failed to get going and were dismissed inside the first ten overs. With the best three back in the hut, the pressure was on Patel to anchor the innings, which he somewhat succeeded in. He scored a fighting fifty but just when his team needed him to up the ante, he offered a simple return catch to Jadeja in the 13th over.

Feels it's good to gain momentum at the right time and is really happy about where they are placed as a team. Informs AB de Villiers, Parthiv Patel and Murugan Ashwin come in for Quinton de Kock, Manan Vohra and Washington Sundar.

MS Dhoni says the wicket doesn't change much and remains true throughout as seen in their last game. In fact, he states it tends to get better under lights. On death bowling, somebody has to step up and take the responsibility. Reckons it gives us an opportunity to try out other players before the serious part of the tournament. Hello and a warm welcome to our coverage of the game between Chennai and Bangalore. The former will play host to Kohli's men. Dhoni played a match-winning innings last time these two met and helped his side chase down a massive score. Bangalore, will be itching to go out there and get their revenge today. The visitors have received a big boost before the game as their go-to man, AB de Villiers, in all likelihood is deemed fit and would feature today. We are expecting yet another electric bout. Do stay around with us as we bring you the toss and the other match related updates shortly!

End of Over : 18.0 CSK: 128/4

Ravindra Jadeja grabs the Man of the Match award for his tremendous bowling effort. His figures of 4-0-18-3 never allowed Bangalore to get going. That's all from this game. It was a one-sided affair and it has pushed Bangalore on the brink of elimination. Next up, Hyderabad are facing Delhi in the second match of the evening. The first ball isn't far away. See you there!

Bangalore fought hard with the ball but they never had enough on the board. Their spinners, as expected, managed to build some pressure but failed to grab wickets at regular intervals. Umesh Yadav once again was very impressive and Colin de Grandhomme also left his mark. Altogether, it was a good bowling performance but the batting department let the visitors down.

Clinical stuff from Chennai! Their bowlers set it up beautifully for them by restricting a star-studded Bangalore batting lineup to a paltry total and then their batsmen scaled down the target without much discomfort. The partnership between Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina didn't allow enough opening for Bangalore upfront and then in spite of losing a few quick wickets, Chennai crossed the line quite easily. Once again it was MS Dhoni who stood tall till the end and played yet another eye-catching innings.

8.4 W

Umesh Yadav to Suresh Raina. OUT! Clean take, take a bow Southee! Short of a length delivery on middle, Suresh Raina backs away and swings across the line. Doesn't get it off the middle and it goes towards long on. Seemed like it would clear Tim there but... No. The tall Kiwi pacer leaps, takes it over his head near the rope. Now the momentum takes him over the line so he shows good awareness as he lobs the ball up, goes inside the rope and then comes back to catch it again.
