Good comeback by Mumbai towards the end! Chennai were going great guns when Raina formed a partnership with Rayudu and they looked destined to reach somewhere close to 200. But credit to Mumbai's bowling for pulling things back in the last 10 overs. Rohit Sharma is chosen for the Man of the Match award for his responsible knock in the chase. His presence in the middle made things easy for Mumbai and didn't allow Chennai any opening.
Chennai were not up to the mark with the ball tonight. Their pacers went for aplenty while the spinners weren't too effective. Having said all that, what cost the home team the most was their batting in the last 10 overs. They failed to bat with the same intensity and managed only a below-par total. No need to press the panic button though, as batting at the death has been their strongest suit this season and they will consider today's performance as an aberration.
A clinical win for Mumbai and their campaign stays alive! They were in a desperate need of this victory to revive their fortunes. The chase was planned well by the visiting team. It was not a big total in front of them and they went cautiously up front. Suryakumar Yadav and Evin Lewis provided a steady start and laid a strong platform and then Rohit Sharma promoted himself to number 3 to take things under his control. His extraordinary knock proved to be enough as Mumbai crossed the line quite easily in the end.
