Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Daredevils Highlights And Cricket Score 30th Match - T20 Commentary
Delhi will not be pleased at all with how they've done in the field. A lot of loose balls, a lack of discipline in their line and a couple of dropped chances, one of Dhoni himself, has hurt them tremendously. Most of them, barring Mishra and Khan, were smacked all around the park. Now, with such a big target to hunt down, the start will be pivotal. The visiting side will hope their openers are able to do that. Join us in a bit for the run chase.
Chennai have powered their way to 211. Blistering knocks from almost everyone who has played for them this evening. Watson and du Plessis got them off to a flier with the former firing away without wasting time. Got to his fifty in no time and set the tone for the rest to take advantage of. Rayudu and Dhoni walked in and continued with the same. 74 runs came in the last 5 overs, with the skipper scoring a quickfire fifty himself and Rayudu just missing out.
Trent Boult to MS Dhoni. A couple to end the last over! 13 from it. This is full and outside off, Dhoni hits it through extra cover and runs two. He brings up his fifty with that, his 20th in this League and it has come up in just 22 balls and his knock has ensured CHENNAI FINISH WITH 211!
Ravindra Jadeja is the next man in.
Trent Boult to MS Dhoni. OUT! Rayudu has been run out! A good change in length by Boult he bowls it short and on the body. Pant in the meantime throws the ball to Boult who does not miss as he hits bull's eye at his end. End of another useful knock by him but once again he has been run out.
Trent Boult to MS Dhoni. FOUR! He moves onto 49 with a powerful stroke! This is just brute force. Do not put your hands in the way on that shot. Comes down the track and flat-bats it past the bowler and through mid off for a boundary.

Avesh Khan to MS Dhoni. SIX! No, he can't! He serves a juicy full toss on middle. Not a lot of batsmen would miss out there and Dhoni certainly won't as he helps it on its way over the square leg fence. 11 from the over. This biggie was measured at 108 meters. That came right off the middle.

TOSS - Delhi win the toss and elect to field first.
Delhi on the other hand, got off to the perfect start under their new captain. Also they cannot afford anymore slip ups and Shreyas Iyer would want his team to carry forward the momentum from the last game. They go into this fixture as underdogs but a surprise cannot be ruled out. We can expect another cracking encounter. Welcome to the coverage.
Game no. 30 of this year's Indian T20 League is in Pune. Chennai will lock horns with Delhi. The home side heads into the game on the back of a defeat. The panic button though need not be pressed yet as they are riding high on the table. However, they would look to get back to winning ways tonight. They are a formidable unit and head into this fixture as favorites.
So that is it from this game. Chennai are back to winning ways and Delhi now have made their chances of finishing in the top four even more difficult. Not that it was ever easy but they now have to win almost all their games. Tomorrow, on Tuesday the 1st of May, we have two teams which are themselves desperate for two points playing as Bangalore take on Mumbai at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium at 2000 local (1430 GMT). Till then, take care and goodbye!
Shane Watson has been awarded the Man of the Match for his blistering knock of 78 from 40 balls. It laid the foundation for Chennai to post a big total and eventually grab the win.
Rishabh Pant was the only player to put up any kind of a fight. He scored a handsome 79, even threatened to get his side across the line, but it was too much of an ask from just one man. His partnership of 88 with Vijay Shankar was superb, but fell short nevertheless. Shankar did score some lusty blows towards the end to keep things interesting, but it was too little too late. Another loss to Delhi's name this season.
Chennai are back to winning ways with a dominating performance at home. After losing to Mumbai at this same place in their previous encounter, this was the perfect response they could have given. First, the batsmen did the job with the bat. Watson fired, then Rayudu and Dhoni joined in and took the Yellow Army past the 200-mark. And then, the fine job was continued with the ball. Early wickets were taken and the pressure was put on.

A run taken.
