Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh, both of whom have taken hat-tricks for India in Test cricket, lauded Jasprit Bumrah for creating havoc in the West Indies batting line-up on Saturday while scripting the historic feat to join the duo in the elite list.

The third wicket of the hat-trick was that of Roston Chase but India's initial appeal against him for LBW was turned down by the umpire. While Bumrah did not look convinced about it, Kohli went for the review and as it turned out, the ball was hitting the stumps.

Rahkeem Cornwall, 26, earned his Test cap after taking 260 wickets in 55 first-class matches besides scoring 2,224 runs at 24.43. He has impressed in his maiden Test so far, picking up the priced scalp of Cheteswar Pujara in the 27 overs he bolwed on Day 1.

Mayank Agarwal, who struck a well-crafted half-century, believes India are in a great position after Day 1 of the second and final Test being played at the Sabina Park. At Stumps on Day One, India were in a strong position after half-centuries from Agarwal (55) and skipper Virat Kohli (76), which helped the team reach 264/5.

After being put in to bat, India had a steady start as openers KL Rahul and Agarwal laid down a foundation for the team. Both the batsmen put up a stand of 32 runs, but their resistance was cut short as Windies skipper Jason Holder had Rahul (13) caught at first slip.
