Ahead of India’s tour of England, the Indian cricket team will land in Ireland for two-match T20 International series. The two T20I matches will be played on June 27 and June 29. The series will help India prepare for a bigger challenge against England. India will take on England in three T20Is and as many One-day Internationals (ODIs) followed by five Test matches. Meanwhile, Indian cricket team’s current focus will be the T20Is against Ireland.
This will be the first bilateral T20I series between India and Ireland. The two sides have just met once in the game’s shorter format. The contest took place during the 2009 World T20I in England when India defeated Ireland by eight wickets in a group stage match.
India apparently named full-strength squad for the Ireland T20Is. The same squad will take on England in T20Is as well. The visitors will be led by Virat Kohli who has received from a shoulder injury. Kohli was scheduled to play for Surrey in county circuit nut the injury ruled him out of that stint. He along with other teammates will be looking to adjust to conditions in this series.
Ireland, on the other hand, included offspinner Andy McBrine and left-arm fast bowler Joshua Little in the squad. Ireland comes into the series after participating in a tri-series involving Netherlands and Scotland. Ireland managed to win only one game out four and finished last.
India T20I Squad: Virat Kohli(c), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Lokesh Rahul, Suresh Raina, Manish Pandey, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Siddarth Kaul, Umesh Yadav.

India vs Ireland Highlights And Cricket Score 2nd Match - T20I Summary
That is is for the day from our side. A lot of cricket to look forward to in the upcoming few weeks. Keep checking this space for all the action. Till then, Ciao!
India have begun their tour of U.K positively. After the first T20I, they tried out their bench strength. A team without the mainstays in the playing XI and yet it was too much for the Irish team, which must have given some happy headaches to the management. Most of the players look in a great touch, well prepared for the tough tour of England. Just one thing which is missing is perhaps the time Virat Kohli hasn't spent out in the middle. He would like to get few balls out of the middle of the bat and get going for the clash against the in-form English team.
Virat Kohli, the winning skipper, says that this is the right kind of momentum his side would have wanted before facing England. Talks about having a headache about picking the playing XI. Adds that it is a great positive for his team and wants more of these. About England as an opponent, he states that their own strengths are important than the opponents. Opines that if they play at their best, it should be a very competing series. Reckons that the system for training is a well laid one, as a result nobody takes anything for granted. As a result, he adds, the preparation and the efforts from the players are not at all reduced. Adds further that the players taking responsibility bodes well as it reduces the burden on him and the management.
Gary Wilson, the losing captain, states that the fact that they didn't put up a fight with the bat is disappointing. Adds that the end overs with the ball also cost them. Says that it wouldn't have mattered much had they batted first. About the lessons to be learnt, he reckons that the experience of the Indian T20 League has helped India and more application on their own part would be the right way forward.
Man of the Series is Yuzvendra Chahal for his two 3-fers in consecutive games. He says that the wicket was turning so he varied his pace and bowled accordingly. Further adds that whenever he saw the batsman looking to hit, he tossed up even more and let the pitch do the work. Ends by saying that he has practised hard before the series, he had chosen the balls he is going to ball to the different batsman and it has worked well for him.
KL Rahul is the Man of the Match for his 70 off 36. He says that it is important for him to make use of the opportunities that he gets. Adds that he looked to extend his good form from the Indian T20 League. States that he was looking to stand deep in the crease and use the pace that he gets to score the runs. Reckons that he is determined to get runs every single time he is left out of the team. Adds that his focus is on playing well and being fit always. Talks about this being his first tour to the UK, hence would look forward to doing well every single time. Adds that the challenges are whole-heartedly accepted by him.
Earlier in the day, the hosts were rocked back by KL Rahul and Suresh Raina as they put up a 106-run stand. They took a liking to most of the bowlers and only Kevin O'Brien could manage to put some life in their bowling. However, at the fag end of India's innings, Hardik Pandya brutalized the medium pacer and took the score past 200, the second time in two games. The presentation follows...
What a comprehensive victory for Team India. They have swept away Ireland and won the game on a canter by 143 runs. The misery was started by Umesh Yadav and was cleaned up by the spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. Both of them took three wickets each while the pacer took two. Ireland never got off in this run-chase as they lost their first on the very second ball of the innings. Only four of their batsmen crossed the double-digit mark and only eight boundaries were scored, which should explain the things pretty well.
Kuldeep Yadav to Boyd Rankin. OUT! It's all over for Ireland. A flighted delivery around off, Rankin gives the charge but misses the ball. DK collects it and does the rest. Ireland have been toppled for 70 inside 13 overs.
Kuldeep Yadav to Boyd Rankin. Flighted on middle and off, punched off the back foot through extra cover for a brace.
Kuldeep Yadav to Boyd Rankin. Hangs back and keeps it out off the back foot.
Yuzvendra Chahal to Peter Chase. Chase fails to put bat on ball.
Yuzvendra Chahal to Stuart Thompson. OUT! The end is nigh for Ireland. A very well flighted delivery that pitches outside off. Thompson comes down the track to smash it down. The ball grips and turns in and sneaks past the blade to clip the leg bail. Ireland are nine down with just 68 on the scoreboard.
Yuzvendra Chahal to Boyd Rankin. Flighted from 'round the wicket. Boyd flicks it off his pads and gets a single.
Yuzvendra Chahal to Boyd Rankin. Wide! Just outside the tramline on the off side. Wide signalled by the umpire.

Yuzvendra Chahal to Stuart Thompson. Flatter in the line of the stumps, punched to the on side for a single.

Kuldeep Yadav to Boyd Rankin. SIX! What a way to end the over. Tossed up ball around off, Ranking shimmies down a bit. Goes through with his loft straight down the ground and gets maximum result.

Kuldeep Yadav to Boyd Rankin. Rankin flicks it to deep mid-wicket for one.
