England vs India Highlights And Cricket Score 3rd Match - T20I Commentary
1st Inn
2nd Inn
End of Over : 20.0ENG: 198/9
Pandya was the standout bowler and got good support from Chahal as well. After going for 22 in his first over, Hardik learned from his mistakes and took 4 wickets in his last 3 overs, conceding only 16. India will know that this is not an easy chase by any means in spite of it being a small ground. England have some hit-the-deck-hard bowlers and they can come to the fore. Will be an interesting second half. Do join us in a short while.
It was a great start by Roy and Buttler as they looted 94 runs in only 47 balls to give their side a strong foundation. The former scored a breathtaking fifty as well. The Indian bowlers who looked jaded when the opposition was going strong bounced back with aplomb. They kept on taking wickets consistently and as a result, the hosts couldn't tee off as they would have liked.
A good batting performance from England but they will be a bit disappointed that they didn't capitalize in the last 5 overs. The stage was set for the power-hitters down the order but in order to aim for too much, they lost 5 wickets and just managed 48 runs at the end. It has to be mentioned that they were 103/1 at one stage but then lost a flurry of wickets, thereby ending with a total below 200 which looks below par on this ground.
19.6W

As soon as the batsman misses the ball and it arrives, the wicket-keeper aims at the stumps at his end and hits the bull's eye. Jordan is miles outside of his crease. ENGLAND FINISH WITH 198/9!

Hardik Pandya to Eoin Morgan. OUT! Gone this time! Thankfully for India, it is calm, cool and collected Dhoni who doesn't make any mistake. Fuller in length, shaping away from Morgan. He again goes for a heave but a top edge results. The ball swirls in the sky near the pitch as Dhoni calls for it. He runs in, watches the ball closely and then takes the catch. But his momentum takes him forward and he is unaware where the stumps are. Barges through the stumps but no harm done as MS smiles and just tosses the ball up in celebration. Tough guy.
As Chahal tries to take that skier from Morgan's bat, he landed very awkwardly. Holding the back of his head and his teammates come running towards him. Physio also rushes out and now the leggie is leaving the field. Hoping nothing is serious. India are lucky in a way that he has bowled his quota already.

Feels that Chahar is an exciting prospect and they are backing him. Announces that they have an eye on the 2019 World Cup and they want to try out different combinations.
TOSS - Heads is the call from Virat Kohli and Heads it is. India win the toss and opt to field.
Alan Wilkins and Nasser Hussain are assessing the surface. The latter says that there is some grass on it. Mentions that because of the hot weather, it does dry up. States that it does look ugly but it plays much better than it looks. Opines that whoever bats first, they have to plan how to go about the proceedings and keep wickets intact in the Powerplay. Informs that the straighter boundaries are shorter while the squarer boundaries are longer. Reckons that a score of 170-180 would be ideal on this track. Ends by saying that the likes of Ball and Plunkett will try to hit the deck hard and make life difficult for the Indian batsmen.
India, on the other hand, have a good all-round side too. The good thing for them is that they have won the three ODIs they have played at this venue so far. Though it is a different format, the confidence factor can always be taken forward. No side can afford a slip-up as it can prove to be very costly. Promises to be a cracker of a contest!
England have found their mojo back and will be backing themselves. The squarer boundaries were longer in Cardiff while the straighter boundaries were shorter and their bowlers were aware of that, using it to their advantage. This ground has similar dimensions as well. Ben Stokes is available for this game and let's see if Morgan decides to bring the explosive all-rounder in.
Clear blue skies welcome us as we head into the decider of the T20I series which is taking place at County Ground in Bristol. The hype that this contest had generated before the tour begun has lived up to the expectations. No surprises though as these two are the best sides in the shortest format of the game and have gun players in their ranks.
End of Over : 18.4IND: 201/3
So, India landed the first punch in Manchester, England returned a mild one back in Cardiff and then the Men in Blue delivered the knockout blow here in Bristol. They take the 3-match T20I series 2-1 and will be full of confidence heading into the ODI series. First match is on the 12th of July in Nottingham at 12.30 pm local (11.30 am GMT). Don't forget to join us. Until then, it's goodbye and cheers!
India captain, Virat Kohli says that the comeback from the bowlers was outstanding. Feels that a score of 225-230 was on the cards but he credits his bowlers for restricting them to much less. States that his bowlers have good skills and they executed their plans to perfection. Adds that he is proud of his boys. Informs that Pandya is a very confident cricketer - both with bat and ball. Opines that the way he came back after being hit for 22 in the first over is what you want to see as a captain. Adds that getting 33 in quick time was the icing on the cake. Backs his decision to not play Kuldeep Yadav as he feels that every bowler suffered here. Announces that they want to continue trying different things going ahead. Expresses that it is great to have a series win at the start of the tour and they will be aiming to build upon this.
England captain, Eoin Morgan says that it was a tremendous start with the bat. Appreciates Roy and Buttler for setting a great platform but rues the fact that the following batsmen couldn't capitalize. Credits India for bowling well. Opines that they were below par on a ground where the pitch is flat and the boundaries are short. Adds that it was a tough ground to defend on. Feels that teams like India and Pakistan have a huge fan following and they are used to it. Mentions that this series has had three different tests for them. Reckons that Trent Bridge has been a good ground for them. Informs that they have lost a few tosses there in the recent past but the result has gone their way. Ends by saying that the toss will be less important.
Man of the Match and Man of the Series, Rohit Sharma says that assessing the conditions at the start was important. Mentions that once they saw off the new ball, they knew that the wicket was good and the boundaries were small. States that when he bats, he likes to take his time and not panic too much. Stresses the importance of spending time in the middle as it helps him to make up anytime during the innings. Also adds that it is crucial to assess the bowlers. Praises Hardik Pandya for his batting skills. Adds that he has played some good knocks for a few years now. Also credits him for his bowling and feels that he is a fearless individual.
When Hardik Pandya arrived at the crease, the tourists needed 48 off 31 balls. With Rohit Sharma at the other end batting on 83, the ball was still firmly in India's court. A quiet over followed after Kohli's wicket but that didn't disturb India's progress much. Jake Ball went for 15 runs in the 17th over and that opened the floodgates. The Sharma-Pandya combo hammered the required runs with ease and achieved the target with 8 balls to spare. It was that kind of a day when you are not supposed to talk too much about the bowling, unless the bowler's name is Hardik Pandya. He also started on a wrong note by conceding 22 in his first over but then in the next three overs he picked 4 wickets by giving away only 16 runs. The Indian all-rounder has warmed up well for this tour.
198 on any ground is a challenging total, even a match-winning one, but not here in Bristol where the boundaries are on the shorter side. India lost a couple of wickets inside the Powerplay but never compromised on the asking run-rate. Rohit Sharma held one end with all the class and elegance and along with his skipper Virat Kohli, he raised an 89-run stand off just 57 balls. England did manage to remove Kohli from the crease but failed to create a big enough opening to trouble the visiting team.
Where England lost the match? Umm... From 103/1 in 9.1 overs to 198/9 in 20 overs. They fell short of a challenging total in spite of having a strong launching pad. Reminds me of a phrase - When you aim high, you set yourself up to fall far! The approach while batting for the Englishmen was to keep going for runs even if wickets were falling. Cannot fault them for doing so on a stamp size ground but then they should have planned it in a better manner. Also, one should give credit where it's due. The Indian bowlers who were under the cosh after taking a hammering showed a lot of character by bouncing back.
Emphatic win for India! Rohit Sharma was the architect of it as he stroked a magnificent century. Not to forget Hardik Pandya though. First he did it with the ball by picking a 4-fer and then played a nice cameo to make India's path smooth to a series win. Clinical stuff from the Men in Blue.
18.46
Chris Jordan to Hardik Pandya. SIX! Pandya has nailed it! Jordan serves a slower delivery again but lands it right in the hitting zone of Hardik Pandya. 16.14
Jake Ball to Hardik Pandya. FOUR! Bang! Back of a length ball around off, Pandya shifts his weight sideways and smashes it over mid off for a boundary. He is an exceptional hitter of the cricket ball.

End of Over : 164 RunsIND: 155/3
15.61
Adil Rashid to Hardik Pandya. Floated full ball on middle and leg, heaved away to deep mid-wicket for a run. Only 4 from the over, that brings an end to what has been a really good spell from Adil Rashid. He finishes with figures of 4-0-32-0. We can compare him with the Indian leggie, Chahal who had finished with figures of 4-0-30-0. Has been a decent day for the spinners.

Hardik Pandya gets a promotion. 48 needed off 31 balls.
14.5W
Chris Jordan to Virat Kohli. OUT! Another sharp catch in the field. This time a return catch. Jordan takes it with ease. Mind you, that wasn't so easy. But then Chris is an exceptional fielder. Fuller and on off, 136 kph, Kohli hammers it straight back. It's uppish and Jordan gobbles it. End of an 89-run stand which has put India on the front foot. Can England still believe?
14.41
Chris Jordan to Rohit Sharma. A low full toss on off, it's flicked to deep mid-wicket for a single.

Adil Rashid to Rohit Sharma. Takes a step forward and then steers it with the spin to deep point. A couple to bring India's 100. It's from this stage England started to lose the plot. Take a bow. Ball gets a wicket, he was involved in the first wicket as well. Probably an off-paced delivery, on a length and around middle, Rahul aims to go downtown and clear long on. But he ends up getting a lot of height than distance. Jordon first backtracks from mid on and then hares across to his right, covers a lot of ground before diving to take a ripper of a catch. Kept his eyes glued to the ball like a hawk eyes his prey. KL departs without doing much damage.

England vs India Highlights And Cricket Score 3rd Match - T20I Commentary
Siddarth Kaul to Adil Rashid. OUT! Terrific presence of mind from Dhoni! His mind works like a computer behind the stumps. Shortish ball outside off, Rashid swings at it but misses. As soon as the batsman misses the ball and it arrives, the wicket-keeper aims at the stumps at his end and hits the bull's eye. Jordan is miles outside of his crease. ENGLAND FINISH WITH 198/9!

He bowls this one on a length outside off, Hales tries to run it down to third man but gets an outside edge which is gobbled by Dhoni. Too close to the body to attempt that shot.

Jake Ball to Hardik Pandya. Yorker outside off, dug out to third man for a run. 15 from the over. All the good work done in the previous two overs (where only 7 runs came) has gone down the drain.
