On his batting, he says that he just wanted to give Mahmudullah the strike and is all praise for him for the way he played in the last five overs. On the argument, he says that his emotions got the better of him as there was excitement and also confusion. Adds that the Sri Lankans are their good friends off the pitch. Kusal Perera and Thisara Perera then joined forces to start the revival and courtesy their 97-run stand, Sri Lanka managed to claw back. Some late hitting by Thisara powered them to a total which many considered to be challenging, if not winning.
