Bangladesh vs India Highlights And Cricket Score 2nd Match - T20 Summary

End of Over : 18.4 IND: 140/4

That is all from this game. The result panned out to be how everyone expected it to with India coming out on top quite easily. Bangladesh on the other hand, are struggling to find a win. They have a lot of things to sought out before their next game against the Lankans. It is also the next game of the tri series which will be played on the 10th of March in Colombo at 1900 local (1330 GMT). Till then, take care and goodbye.

Rohit Sharma says this good performance was expected from his team, from the first ball to the last and it was a complete team effort. Mentions they looked at what went wrong in the last game and worked on it, in particular what lengths they hit while bowling. Praises his bowlers for executing their plans and is happy with how they did. Realizes that their catching has been poor and goes on to say there's always room for improvement. Reckons his side is much better than that and hopefully they'll improve rather soon.

Mahmudullah says it's obvious they didn't bat well. Adds they fell short by about 15-20 runs and didn't adapt to the wicket as well. Further adds they needed to rotate the strike more and do better especially in the middle overs. States that they are just one win away from becoming really good again and that probably isn't far away.

Man of the Match, Vijay Shankar says he's been working really hard and is happy to have got this award. Adds that the last few years he's put in a lot of effort to develop his bowling and add some variety, which has helped him a lot. Wants to thank his parents for helping him get to this point, along with the people in the dressing room.

India back on track after a mini setback in the tournament opener and with that, they continue to dominate Bangladesh as they make it 6-0 in T20Is. Was as comfortable a game as they could have hoped for. First did the job with the ball by restricting Bangladesh to 139, with Jaydev Unadkat leading the charge with a 3 fer, and now, have cruised through the chase courtesy a superb Shikhar Dhawan fifty. His and Suresh Raina's stand of 68 runs more or less sealed the deal, with Manish Pandey then adding the finishing touches like he usually does. Plenty to ponder for the Tigers, time to rejoice for the Indians.

18.4 1

Rubel Hossain to Manish Pandey. And there's the game! INDIA WIN BY 6 WICKETS! Comfortable victory for the Men in Blue. Manish Pandey hits this towards the man at cover and calls his partner through to complete a well-deserved victory.

18.3 0

Rubel Hossain to Manish Pandey. On a good length and around off, a mistimed drive towards the covers.

18.2 1

Rubel Hossain to Dinesh Karthik. Length ball outside the line of off stump, cut away towards the covers, where a half-stop from the fielder lets the batsmen take a single.

18.1 1

Rubel Hossain to Manish Pandey. Just back of a length, slightly cramped for room but it doesn't matter to Pandey who punches it down the ground for a single.

End of Over : 18 11 Runs 18.4: 137/4
17.6 1

Mustafizur Rahman to Manish Pandey. The batsman has played it towards mid-wicket. They pick up a single.

17.5 4

Mustafizur Rahman to Manish Pandey. FOUR! Shouldn't be bowling there to Pandey. He has width, so he uses it well and cuts it fiercely through cover-point for a boundary.

17.4 0

Mustafizur Rahman to Manish Pandey. Angling in sharply, Pandey picks it off his pads and works it 'round the corner, but finds the man positioned there.

17.3 1

Mustafizur Rahman to Dinesh Karthik. Bit of width offered outside off, cut down to third man by Dinesh Karthik for a run.

17.2 1

Mustafizur Rahman to Manish Pandey. Glided with an open face again, but straight to the third man fielder this time. Single taken.

17.1 4

Mustafizur Rahman to Manish Pandey. FOUR! Deft from Manish Pandey. Nicely done. Plays this very late. Waits for the ball to come, opens the face and just guides it past the keeper. Really fine, even the third man fielder can't get to it with a dive. Boundary!

End of Over : 17 6 Runs 18.4: 126/4
16.6 1

Taskin Ahmed to Manish Pandey. Single to end the over. Pandey pushes it through the cover region and will keep strike. 14 to win in 3 overs.

16.5 2

Taskin Ahmed to Manish Pandey. Just ahead of a length outside off, Pandey uppishly plays it through the gap in the covers for an easy two.

16.4 W

Taskin Ahmed to Shikhar Dhawan. OUT! Dhawan is on his way, but the wicket's probably come a little too late. Full and angling in from around off from around the wicket, the opener walks a step across and looks to clear mid-wicket. Lot of height, not enough distance and Liton Das gets under this. Judges it well and takes a safe catch.

Summary

After their dramatic first match loss against the Lankans, the Indian cricket team would be looking to make a comeback of sorts against the Bangladesh team. India will clash against Bangladesh in the 2nd T20I of Nidahas Trophy on March 08, 2018. The match will be played at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Team India had rested their six first-choice players coming into the series and seems to have paid the price in the first match. India, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, faltered badly in the tournament opener.

Rohit himself was dismissed on a duck, whereas Suresh Raina was bowled on 1 run only. Vice-captain Shikhar Shawan once again played the role of a saviour as he scored his career best 90 runs off 48 balls. The Indian team would be looking to turn the course of the series and register their victory on the tour.

Bangladesh would be playing without their star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. A lot of Bangladesh’s hopes would be pinned on how senior players Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim perform. They will be looking towards Mustafizur ‘Fizz’ Rahman to provide an early breakthrough to test India’s inexperienced middle order.

It comes as a good opportunity for Bangladesh to register their first victory against India in T20Is, as both their nemesis, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni are not playing in the series. On the other hand, India cannot afford to lose a match in this point of time of the series. It will be interesting to see which team has the last laugh on Thursday.
