UAE vs Oman Highlights And Cricket Score 4th Match - T20 Commentary
Oman have delivered a spotless show on the field and now it's up to their batsmen to scale down this minuscule target. The pitch appeared to be on the slower side but not as bad as the UAE batsmen made it look like. Should be an easy chase. Can the hosts bounce back through their bowling? Do join us in a short while to find out.
Fayyaz Khan is down for an interview. Says that there is no pace on the surface and they wanted to take full advantage of it. Feels that they can chase down the target as they have a deep batting lineup. Thanks the crowd for their support and says that he is enjoying his time in the UAE.
Neat and tidy bowling performance by Oman! They have restricted UAE to a paltry total and will be full of confidence heading in for a break. The home team struggled to score runs freely against some accurate bowling and their innings just meandered along without much intent. Muhammad Usman and his partnership with Waheed Ahmed somehow dragged the total beyond the 100-run mark but in totality, it was a very average performance by the hosts. Bilal Khan and Fayyaz Butt were the standout bowlers as they hunted down six wickets together.
Bilal Khan to Ahmed Raza. Surely he can! Just the couple from the last ball which means only 3 from the last over. A yorker on middle, it is jammed out towards mid on. The batters take one and go for the second. Complete it. UAE END WITH 108/9!
Bilal Khan to Ahmed Raza. Good change in length! Goes short. Raza looks to pull but misses as he is late into the shot. Just the single from the over so far. Can he end it well?
Bilal Khan to Zahoor Khan. A bye! A yorker on the pads, Khan fails to jam it out. The batters look to steal a bye. The keeper misses his shy at his end.
Bilal Khan to Zahoor Khan. One more dot! A yorker outside off, Khan looks to jam it out but misses.
Zahoor Khan is the last man in.
Bilal Khan to Junaid Siddique. OUT! Siddique has been given out caught behind. This could be a debatable decision here. Khan bowls one full and outside off. Siddique swings. There is some noise after the ball passes the bat. The keeper takes it and appeals but it seems to be a bump ball. The umpires though get together and have a chat. They can't take it to the third umpire as that facility is not available. After a while, up goes the finger and Siddique has to take the long walk back. Nine down are UAE. However, replays show that the ball seemed to have bounced behind the bat.
Bilal Khan to Junaid Siddique. A dot to start! Short and outside off, the batter swings hard but only manages to connect with thin air.
Bilal Khan to bowl the last over.
Fayyaz Butt to Junaid Siddique. Short ball outside off, Siddique goes for the pull but mistimes it. However, he gets enough bat on it to clear the mid-wicket fielder and take a single.
Ahmed Raza, the skipper, walks out to bat. He needs to hit a few out of the ground here.
Fayyaz Butt to Sultan Ahmed. OUT! CAUGHT! Third wicket in the over and Butt is on fire! Another short ball outside off, Sultan Ahmed has to fetch it from out there and hence fails to time his pull shot properly. It goes high in the air but doesn't have the wings to go all the way. It's an easy catch for Mohammad Nadeem at deep mid-wicket. UAE 104/8 and struggling badly.
Fayyaz Butt to Junaid Siddique. Yorker by Butt for the hat-trick ball but Siddique does well to dig it out towards mid on. One run added to the total.
Junaid Siddique is in next to swing his bat. He will be facing the hat-trick ball.
Fayyaz Butt to Muhammad Usman. OUT! Zeeshan Maqsood takes the catch now and Fayyaz Butt is on a hat-trick! The set batsman is out of here and UAE are in tatters. Short ball outside off, slower in pace, Usman looks to be cheeky and guide this one over the short third man fielder. But he does not get the desired timing on this and Zeeshan Maqsood there takes the catch over his head. UAE struggling to even get to the 120-run mark.
Sultan Ahmed walks out to bat.
Fayyaz Butt to Waheed Ahmed. OUT! CAUGHT! Sandeep Goud takes a good catch and breaks the 29-run stand. Full in length around off, angling in, Waheed aims to go downtown over the bowler's head but gets more height than distance behind his shot. Goud runs across to his right from long off and takes the catch to dismiss Ahmed.
Fayyaz Butt to Waheed Ahmed. FOUR! Waheed Ahmed looks to whip this one over the square leg fence but gets a top edge on that one. However, he gets the desired result as the ball flies towards the fine leg region and a boundary results.
Fayyaz Butt to bowl the penultimate over.
Mohammad Nadeem to Waheed Ahmed. Waheed Ahmed goes for the pull shot but fails to connect cleanly. It's a bit aerial but in the gap at square leg for one. The best over for UAE so far as 12 runs came off it. Much needed impetus at the end of the innings.
Mohammad Nadeem to Muhammad Usman. Outside off, Usman pushes this one towards point for a single.
Mohammad Nadeem to Muhammad Usman. FOUR! Unconventional but mightily effective! This one is bowled on the hips of Usman, he gets up on one leg and semi-pulls this one towards backward square leg for a boundary.

Mohammad Nadeem is back! 3-0-10-1 his figures so far.
Khawar Ali to Muhammad Usman. Works it with the turn through square leg for one. So end of an over which could have had a wicket in it. Still a good over for Oman.
Khawar Ali to Muhammad Usman. WIDE! Short and a little too wide outside off, Usman looks to cut but misses. Wided.
Khawar Ali to Muhammad Usman. Slower through the air on middle, it is hit back to the bowler.
Khawar Ali to Waheed Ahmed. Ahmed comes down the track but does not get to the pitch of the ball. He does well to drop it with soft hands towards cover for one.
Khawar Ali to Muhammad Usman. On off, this is pushed through covers for one more.
Khawar Ali to Waheed Ahmed. Full and on middle, this is eased down to long on for one.
Khawar Ali to Muhammad Usman. In the air... dropped! Aqib is the culprit. This is lovely bowling by Ali. He gives it a lot of air and it is the googly. The batsman comes down the track and looks to go big but he is not to the pitch of the delivery. He only manages to hit it high up in the air beside the pitch towards mid off. The fielder from covers comes in, gets two hands to it but the ball pops out. He fails to take it on the second attempt as well. A single taken.
Khawar Ali is back! 2-0-9-1 so far from him.

Waheed Ahmed is the new man in.
Bilal Khan to Rohan Mustafa. OUT! CAUGHT! The set batsman, Rohan Mustafa departs and the hopes of getting a competitive total on the board looking bleak for UAE now. Bilal bowls a length ball outside off, Rohan tries to go for the slog over mid-wicket but mistimes it. It is up in the air for a long time, Aamir Kaleem sets himself underneath it and takes the skier safely. UAE looking for some fresh inspiration now.
Bilal Khan to Muhammad Usman. Length ball outside off, Usman opens the face of his bat and guides it towards third man for a single.
Bilal Khan is back on! His figures so far 2-0-13-1.

Aqib Ilyas to Muhammad Usman. The batsman has punched the ball off the back foot. One run added to the total.
Aqib Ilyas to Muhammad Usman. A huge appeal from the bowler but nothing! This is bowled down the leg side, the batter looks to flick but it goes off something. Maybe the pad. The bowler appeals, the keeper then joins but the umpire shakes his head. No wide so it has to be pad.
Aqib Ilyas to Rohan Mustafa. Mustafa comes down the track but Ilyas slows it up. He swings but it goes off the inner half through mid-wicket for one.
Aqib Ilyas to Muhammad Usman. The batter makes room and looks to go with the turn over covers but it goes off the inner half down to long on for one.

The keeper is quick to dislodge the bails and appeal for a stumping but the umpire has correctly judged that Usman got his foot back in the crease in time. Great performance by Oman here as they are overwhelming the hosts.
Khawar Ali to Muhammad Usman. Full and floated on off, drives this one towards mid on.

Muhammad Usman is the next man in for the hosts. They are reeling at 55/4 and a partnership is needed at this stage.
Khawar Ali to Rameez Shahzad. OUT! TIMBER! Ali gets his man. The missed run out opportunity does not cost a lot. Shahzad perishes in the attempt to find the fence. He had to go, he had no choice. Brings out the slog sweep but is beaten in the flight and the dip on this delivery. The ball ends up hitting the stumps behind. UAE slip further. They seem to be going nowhere at the moment. The runs are not coming and they are also losing wickets regularly.
Khawar Ali to Rameez Shahzad. Gives it air and lands it on middle, it is defended.
Khawar Ali to Rohan Mustafa. The bowler tried to be cheeky there. It almost came off! Shahzad was out by a long way. A flatter delivery has been punched back to the bowler. Shahzad was backing up quite a long way. The bowler collects the ball and looks to hit the stumps at his end but misses from a very close range. It goes towards long on and a run is taken. He should have hit the stumps from there.
Khawar Ali to Rohan Mustafa. Slower through the air on off, this one is kept out.
Khawar Ali to Rohan Mustafa. Out comes the reverse sweep but it is hit straight to the point fielder.
Khawar Ali into the attack now.

Aqib Ilyas to Rohan Mustafa. 50 up as this is worked towards wide long on for one. These two need to go now. The 50 has come up in the 11th over.
Aqib Ilyas to Rohan Mustafa. Now the off spinner to the left-hander. So the idea is clear, turn the ball away from the batters. It is on the pads. Mustafa looks to work it on the leg side against the turn. He ends up getting a soft leading edge back to the bowler.

Mohammad Nadeem to Rameez Shahzad. Run out chance but no harm done. Shahzad plays this one off the front foot towards the point region. Mohammad Nadeem to Rameez Shahzad. Short of a length outside off, Shahzad leaves the ball alone.
Aqib Ilyas to Rohan Mustafa. Mustafa tries to go for the reverse sweep but he fails to connect on this one. It hits him first on the pads and then on the chest. The bowler puts in a loud appeal but nothing from the umpire. Maybe the impact is outside off or even the height can be an issue here.
Aqib Ilyas to Rameez Shahzad. Shahzad flicks this one off his pads towards mid-wicket and takes a single.

Rameez Shahzad is the next man in for UAE. Oman on a team hat-trick.
Mohammad Nadeem to Chirag Suri. OUT! In the air... taken! End of Suri. Big wicket as Suri was really looking fluent out there. UAE now in deep trouble here. They have lost their third in the Powerplay and not many teams win after losing that many wickets. The slowness in the wicket was visible here. This is full and on the pads, Suri looks to flick but closes the face of the bat early. It goes off the leading half of his blade towards Zeeshan at mid on. A sitter for the skipper.
Rohan Mustafa is the next man in for UAE.

Ashfaq Ahmed though can consider himself unlucky here. He had absolutely nailed that one. It is short and outside off, Ahmed cuts it hard but does not keep it down.
