Afghanistan vs England Highlights And Cricket Score 8th Match - ODI Commentary
1st Inn
2nd Inn
End of Over : 38.4AFG: 160/10
So 161 to get, it should be an easy chase for England. Afghanistan will need to bowl out of their skin if they want to even make a fight out of this. Join us in a while for the second innings.
Ben Stokes is caught for a chat. He states it was a good performance from the boys on the field. Says the two warm-up games being so close to each other makes a difference when one comes back so well after the earlier defeat. When asked about fitness, Ben admits that their bodies might be a little tired as they have been playing cricket continuously now, talks about the Pakistan series. Reckons Adil Rashid's shoulder looks fine now. Feels that it was important for them to have an excellent start with the ball as Afghanistan are good early on with the bat. Signs off by saying it is vital to have a third spinner some days and it was nice to see Joe Root picking up wickets.
As for England's bowling, 7 bowlers were used by them. With Jofra Archer and Joe Root picking up 3 each. Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes were the others to get into the wicket column with one a piece. Overall everyone was good for England with the ball but they will be slightly disappointed not to restrict Afghanistan under 140.
After winning the toss, England skipper Eoin Morgan put Afghanistan to bat. The innings did not start brightly for the visitors. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Though opener Noor Ali Zadran got a good start he could not convert it. They lost half their side for 88. Mohammad Nabi then played a good hand with the tail and gave them something to bowl and took the total to 160.
Comprehensive performance with the ball from England. Though they will feel they should have restricted them under 150 but Nabi's 44 has taken Afghanistan over 150 and has given them something to bowl at.
38.4W
Jofra Archer to Mohammad Nabi. OUT! The foot is okay says the third umpire. He will remain with the soft signal and AFGHANISTAN END WITH 160 on board. What an excellent catch that is in the deep! This is brilliant from Bairstow. Not even 40 overs they have played. The last ball is a short one outside off, Nabi looks to cut but the ball flies off the top edge and to third man. Bairstow initially takes the catch just inside the rope but realising that he would lose balance, throws the ball in the air, takes a step out before coming back in to complete the catch coolly. Well done, YJB! Archer ends with 3 wickets.

Afghanistan vs England Highlights And Cricket Score 8th Match - ODI Commentary
After winning the toss, England skipper Eoin Morgan put Afghanistan to bat. The innings did not start brightly for the visitors. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
