New Zealand vs India Highlights And Cricket Score 1st Semi Final Match - ODI Commentary
1st Inn
2nd Inn
End of Over : 50.0NZ: 239/8
Now then, 240 is the target! An easy chase for India? Probably not as the wicket is not that easy to bat. If New Zealand bowl well, this could just get interesting. However, India know a couple of good stands and they will probably come out on top. Who will be our first finalists?
Indian bowling was good yesterday and it continued to do well today also. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick as he ended with a 3-fer. Bumrah was excellent again. Hardik Pandya once again did a handy job. Jadeja kept it tight. Chahal though maybe a little disappointed with his performance. He went at more than 6 per over on a wicket which probably did have something in it for the bowlers.
The New Zealand innings went about like a slow train since yesterday! They struggle to score at a good rate and wickets at regular intervals also did not help. Williamson and Taylor were once again their best batters. It is their partnership which has got them to a competitive total. They probably wanted to set a platform for the big hitters they have down the order but nobody could contribute anything significant.
So New Zealand have crawled their way to one run less than 240. That means, they only managed to score 28 in the overs they played today. Surely they would have wanted a little more but runs scoring was not easy today too and Taylor and Latham found that out early. They were content to play it around and take the ones and twos. Jadeja's brilliance though got the better of Taylor. Once again another amazing effort in the field by Jadeja helped India dismiss Latham. Santner did hit the one boundary but nothing significant after that. Surely, it will be India who walk in as the happier side.
49.61
Jasprit Bumrah to Mitchell Santner. Just the single to end the innings! Excellent last over by Bumrah. This is on the pads, Santner looks to heave it but misses. It goes off the pads and rolls to short third man. A leg bye is taken. NEW ZEALAND FINISH WITH 239 FOR 8!
49.52
Jasprit Bumrah to Mitchell Santner. Almost gets one there! Good stop by Rahul. Bumrah misses the yorker by just and Santner hits it hard towards mid off. Rahul there runs to his left, dives and half stops it. Two taken.
49.41
Jasprit Bumrah to Trent Boult. This is right up there! It is on middle, Boult hits it towards mid off and a single is taken. Santner is back on strike. He has two balls, New Zealand will hope he gets a boundary away.
49.32
Jasprit Bumrah to Trent Boult. Two taken! Bumrah goes short again, Boult mistimes his pull through mid-wicket. Not sure why Bumrah is going short. The next one will surely be right up there.
49.20
Jasprit Bumrah to Trent Boult. A dot! Boult may not have been expecting a short one but Bumrah bowls it. Boult looks to pull but misses.
49.11
Jasprit Bumrah to Mitchell Santner. Sloower one and outside off, it is the slower one. Santner smashes it down to long on for one. Not sure why Santner took that run, he would have wanted to face most of the remaining balls. Now Boult is on strike.
The new man in is Trent Boult.
End of Over : 497 RunsNZ: 232/8
48.6W
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Matt Henry. OUT! A wicket to start the over and one to end it! New Zealand are 8 down. A slower one and it is shorter in length around off. There is absolutely no pace behind the delivery and it is Henry who has to generate all the power. He looks to heave it over the mid-wicket fence but does not get the distance. Kohli there takes a simple catch. Just the 7 runs and 2 wickets from the over.
48.51
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Mitchell Santner. Goes short again and on middle, Santner pulls it through mid-wicket for one. It goes to Jadeja so they surely won't be taking him on.
48.44
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Mitchell Santner. FOUR! Poor ball and put away! First boundary of the morning and a much-needed one. This is short and outside off, Santner slaps it through covers and the ball races away. No chance for the sweeper in the deep.
48.31
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Matt Henry. Only a single again! Shorter and outside off, Henry slaps it through covers and gets to the other end. Also good backup by Chahal as Dhoni failed to collect throw from Jadeja.
48.21
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Mitchell Santner. Shorter in length and on off, Santner guides it towards point and takes one.
Matt Henry is the new man in.
48.1W
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Tom Latham. OUT! Latham holes out! It's Jadeja once again. You just cannot keep this man out of this game. Bhuvneshwar serves a fuller ball around off, Latham looks to heave it over mid-wicket fence. Jadeja who is standing a few inches inside the rope, judges it well and takes it over his head and maintains his balance. Two in two for India and a mega finish looks difficult now for New Zealand.
Mitchell Santner is the new man in.
End of Over : 488 RunsNZ: 225/6
47.6W
Jasprit Bumrah to Ross Taylor. OUT! Taylor is short! Brilliance, absolutely brilliance from Jadeja. He hits the stumps a number of times from inside the ring but doing it from so far out, amazing. A slower one on middle, Taylor works it through square leg and the batters run the first one quickly. They go for the second. Jadeja runs in from the deep, picks the ball up and scores a direct hit at the striker's end. The Indians appeal, they are actually celebrating and the umpire takes it upstairs. Replays roll in and they show that Taylor is short. A very good innings from him comes to an end. New Zealand would have wanted him to stay out there till the end but a piece of brilliance has got rid of him.
A direct hit and India feel they have got Taylor! They are already celebrating. This could be a big wicket.
47.51
Jasprit Bumrah to Tom Latham. On the pads, Latham works it through square leg and gets to the other end.
47.42
Jasprit Bumrah to Tom Latham. One more couple! Another slower one outside off, Latham shuffles across and paddle scoops it towards fine leg.
47.31
Jasprit Bumrah to Ross Taylor. Just the single this time! A slower one outside off, it is on a length. Taylor drags it off the inner half through square leg for one.
47.22
Jasprit Bumrah to Ross Taylor. Another two! One more full toss, Taylor is happy to just work it in the gap in the mid-wicket region and run two.
47.11
Jasprit Bumrah to Tom Latham. A full toss and Latham fails to take toll of it. He gently pushes it down to long on for one.
Jasprit Bumrah to continue from the other end.
End of Over : 478 RunsNZ: 217/5
46.62
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Ross Taylor. Another couple to Dinesh Karthik again! A low full toss on middle, Taylor works it through mid-wicket. They run the first one hard and go for the second and complete it with ease. 8 from the over.
46.51
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Tom Latham. Another excellent yorker on off, Latham jams it to the right of the bowler and takes off.
46.42
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Tom Latham. Good running! This is extremely full again around middle, not easy to get under that. Latham works it through backward square leg and takes two. He may have decided to take on Karthik as he does not have a very good throw.
46.30
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Tom Latham. A dot! Gold dust at this stage! A yorker outside off, nothing you can do with that. Latham looks to jam it out but fails to do so.
46.21
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Ross Taylor. Slower one outside off, Taylor slaps it through covers and a single. First run today.
The Indian players are out in the middle and are about to take their positions in the field. New Zealand's overnight batting duo of Ross Taylor and Tom Latham stride out to resume their innings. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will complete the remaining 5 balls of his 9th over.
Sanjay Manjrekar is down with the pitch report. Manjrekar says the pitch has returned to its original state and the loopy short ball will be used as the pitch will encourage it. Tells only 8-10 balls turned out of the 120 balls bowled by the spinners. Hence he feels Santner won't be that big a threat. Says yesterday it looked like a batting belter but it didn't turn out to be that way and it fooled them.
Welcome to the reserve day of the 1st semifinal in this World Cup. This is one of the rare instances where we come into the reserve day to find out the winners. New Zealand have 23 balls left in their innings after which India will bat. The weather as of now looks good, let's hope that it stays that way and we have a full game.
... Semifinal 1, Day 2 (Reserve Day) ...
Earlier in the day, New Zealand, after electing to bat, lost Guptill early. Kane Williamson with Henry Nicholls and Ross Taylor steadied the ship. However, it was slow going by the Kiwis throughout their innings. Even the set batters found it difficult to score and perished when they needed to accelerate. However, they still have Ross Taylor out there who is well set and if they could finish strongly in the last 4 overs, something around 250 will be a good score. India though will still be favorites to chase this down. Join us for part 2 of this semifinal which will begin at 10.30 am local (0930 GMT). Till then, take care and goodbye!
Update 6.25 pm local (1725 GMT) - So no more game for the day and we will be going into the reserve day, i.e., Wednesday, 10th July. We will resume from where we left off. Hopefully there are no overnight rains. The forecast for tomorrow does not look too bright either but let's hope we finish the game and have a clear finalist. A reminder, if the play is washed out tomorrow also then India will head into the finals as they finished higher in the league table.
Update 5.50 pm local (1650 GMT) - Well, well, well... the joy was short-lived. The covers did come off and for a few minutes it did feel like we would get a game today but the rain arrived again and washed away all those hopes. Chances of the game now starting looks very difficult.
Update 5.40 pm Local (1640 GMT) - Some news to cheer! The rains have stopped and the umpires are out in the middle having a look at the playing field. Remember, we do have a reserve day but efforts will be made to finish this game today itself and for the game to finish today. They will have to resume this game by 6.30 pm local (1730 GMT). The revised targets for India if New Zealand don't bat will be as follows, 237 in a 46-over game, 223 in a 40-over game, 209 in a 35-over game, 192 in 30-over game, 172 in a 25-over game and 148 in a 20-over game.
Update 5.00 pm local (1600 GMT) - We once again have bad news for you, the rain has gotten heavier and now chances of anymore play today looks bleak. The good thing is we do have a reserve day tomorrow. However, there will maximum efforts to complete the game today but that just does not look possible.
Update 4.00 pm local (1500 GMT) - We have better news for you, the rain has now reduced into a drizzle. The Super Sopper is out doing its job. It has also brightened up. Let us keep our fingers crossed. Also, we have started to lose overs, so don't think New Zealand will be batting again. So what we are hearing right now is, the target for India could be around 230 to 240 if it's a 46 over game. If the match referee wishes, play can resume as late as 09.00 pm local (2000 GMT).
Update 3.00 pm local (1400 GMT) - We do not have any good news as of now as it continues to pour. There is no movement in the ground. Let's continue our prayers and hope the forecast is wrong and we resume this game.
Update 2.30 pm local (1330 GMT) - Nothing much to report. It continues to rain. Stay tuned for updates.
The only thing all we cricket fans feared. It was drizzling a bit but now it has started to gather pace. The umpires have decided to call the covers on as they feel the ground conditions aren't suitable to field on. Let's hope that it is not a big delay.
46.12
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Ross Taylor. Good ball but school boy stuff from Chahal. Very full on off, Taylor strokes it to the right of cover. Chahal moves to that side but misjudges it allowing them to take two. Kohli won't be happy with that.
End of Over : 467 RunsNZ: 209/5
45.61
Jasprit Bumrah to Ross Taylor. Another single as Taylor works it to fine leg. So despite the overthrow, only 7 from the over. India will be happy with that.
45.51
Jasprit Bumrah to Tom Latham. On the pads, this is flicked through square leg for one.
45.43
Jasprit Bumrah to Ross Taylor. Overthrows! This is very sloppy from India and extremely poor. A full ball outside off, Taylor looks to work it on the leg side but gets a soft leading edge through point. They take one. The fielder in the deep throws it to Dhoni who fails to collect it and the batsmen take one more. Kohli then runs in from deep mid-wicket, collects the ball and has a needless shy at the non-striker's end. There is nobody backing up on the other side too and they take one more.
45.31
Jasprit Bumrah to Tom Latham. In the air but on the bounce! Shorter and on middle, Latham nails the pull but straight to deep square leg for one.

Finally Tom Latham walks out to bat.
44.4W
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Colin de Grandhomme. OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! A soft, soft dismissal. Why play this shot when you can hit the ball really hard? Colin de Grandhomme will be disappointed. Kumar bowls a short ball and it is a slower one on middle. Colin de Grandhomme looks to upper cut it. He seems to have decided to play that shot very late. The ball kisses the edge and goes straight into the mitts of Dhoni. This wicket could easily make a difference of 10-15 runs to the final total.
44.31

He was actually walking off after looking at the first few replays but then had to come back. This is very full around off. Taylor looks to sweep the pacer but misses to get hit on the pads. An appeal and the umpire raises the finger. Taylor reviews after a chat with Colin. Replays roll in and they the on-field call has to be overturned.
Taylor is a goner but he has reviewed it! More in hope I feel.

40.6W
Hardik Pandya to Jimmy Neesham. OUT! In the air... taken! Pandya has the last laugh! The slow nature of the wicket has done Neesham in. It is on the pads, Neesham looks to whip it over the leg side. It looked close initially but turned out to be a bad review. A good ball to begin with by Kumar though. This starts on middle and then comes back in. Guptill looks to defend but misses to get hit on the pads. An appeal but the umpire shakes his head. After a long chat, India review. Replays roll in and they show the on-field call is the right one.
Action straightaway! A review on the first ball itself! A huge shout for an LBW was turned down and India have taken a review. Looks close.

The Indians head into the game after fine performances throughout the group stage. They are firm favorites going into this game. New Zealand on the other hand, started to lose gas at the wrong time, they are on a 3-game losing streak. However, they will look to put all that behind and play their best cricket. A lot of exciting battles like - Boult vs Rohit, Ferguson vs Kohli, Bumrah vs Williamson, await. This promises to be a cracker.
End of Over : 49.3IND: 221/10
That is it from Semi Finals 1! It is New Zealand who head into the finals. Who will they be facing? It is either going to be England or Australia. The two battle it out on the 11th of July and the game starts at 1030 local (0930 GMT). Till then, take care and goodbye!
New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson, says it is a different feeling than the last semi finals they played. Further adds the guys have shown a lot of heart in this tournament and credits them for the fight they have shown. Tells they had to assess the conditions and the ball spun and they thought 250 would be a good score. Williamson informs they did not look to go too hard as that could have meant they ended up with 200-210. Informs the talk was regarding the conditions as to whether there was rain or not. Tells India are a world class side and can win matches from any position but he says the bowlers and fielders kept their nerves. Further adds, some of the games were tough as the conditions were tricky too. Also says they had to consider other things as well as otherwise the guys could have been disheartened. Tells in this tournament anything can happen. Williamson hopes that the fans back them in the finals too.
Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, says they were good in the first half with the ball. Says they thought they restricted New Zealand to a chasable total. Mentions they came today with confidence and felt they had momentum. Credits New Zealand bowlers for the way they bowled. States it was a skillful game and it was on display. Credits Jadeja for his knock and says it showed how good Jadeja is in all aspects of the game. Tells they were down and out but Jadeja kept them in hunt with his partnership with Dhoni. Reckons New Zealand won the crunch movements in this game. Further adds the only thing he could think about what went wrong was the shot selection. Ends by thanking the fans for their support.
MAN OF THE MATCH, Matt Henry, says they talked that they just needed to do their best. Tells they started off well with the ball and kept building pressure. Says they kept asking questions and kept building pressure. Henry says that pressure converted into wickets. Says they are a confident side and they knew India had world class finishers and they had to continue to build pressure and take wickets. On asking how it feels to be part of 2nd World Cup finals, Henry says he is looking forward to the finals at Lord's after being part of the team in the 2015 World Cup. Ends by crediting the crowd for their support.
Earlier in the day, New Zealand entered the second day of this one day (Reserve day as the rain played spoil sport on the 9th) 211 for 5 with a little less than 4 overs to go. They could not add too much but they managed to crawl their way to 240 which in the end proved to be enough.
A special mention for the way New Zealand fielded too! They stopped quite a few runs with their ground fielding. Yes, Neesham did drop one but he took an absolute blinder to get rid of Karthik and who can forget run out? That was probably the moment when all the hearts of the Indian fans was broken. Their performance in the field today is an indication of how important Fielding is!
The New Zealand bowling was just outstanding. Kane Williamson could not have asked more from his bowlers. A huge occasion, not a very big target to defend and they have stepped up to the occasion. They needed their opening bowlers to deliver and Boult and Henry did just that. They had India 4 down in Powerplay 1. The bowlers who bowled later also did a fine job. Especially Santner. He got rid of the two dynamic youngsters, Pandya and Pant and was extremely economical. Even in the death, when New Zealand were under pressure, their bowlers kept their nerve and ensured they book their place in the final.
What a defense this was! Especially against this strong Indian batting line-up. How many of you'll thought 240 would not be chased by the Indians? Yes, it was going to be tough for them but I never thought they would end up on the losing side. Their top order just failed to get the off to a start. The three who have been scoring so freely, Rohit, Rahul and Kohli failed to trouble the scorers a lot. Karthik then, took his own time to get in but fell to an outstanding catch. Pant and Pandya both crumbled under pressure, they got off to a start but then threw it away. India seemed down and out and 92 for 6 but then walked in Sir Jadeja. He looked positive right from the outset. He added a massive 116-run stand with Dhoni in which Jadeja was the aggressor and Dhoni was the one looking for the singles. The two revived Indian hopes but once the Ravindra fell, Dhoni too followed and then it was an impossible task for the lower-order.
NEW ZEALAND ARE THE FINALISTS! For the second successive ODI World Cup, it will be Kiwis who will fight for the title. Against all the odds they have out-muscled and out powered one of the favorites, India and have rightfully sealed their place in the finals. All smiles in their camp and on the faces of their players. India on the other hand, can't believe what just happened, nor can their fans. A few of them are in tears too. That is cricket though, there is one side which wins and there is one that loses. New Zealand were surely the better of the two sides.
49.3W
Jimmy Neesham to Yuzvendra Chahal. OUT! There is a big edge and that is it, NEW ZEALAND ARE INTO THE FINALS! They win by 18 runs! Neesham gets the last man. Another slower one around off, Chahal goes for the heave across the line but the ball goes off the top edge towards the keeper who takes it by diving forward. An appeal and the umpire raises the finger. Chahal reviews and Ultra Edge shows that there is a spike.
Is that the end of the game? The umpire has given Chahal out caught behind but he has reviewed. There seems to bat though.
49.20
Jimmy Neesham to Yuzvendra Chahal. Edged but short! More importantly a dot. Even 4 boundaries won't do it. 4 biggies needed. Slower one outside off, Chahal swings but gets an outside edge which falls short of the keeper.
49.14
Jimmy Neesham to Yuzvendra Chahal. FOUR! Perfect start for India! Poor ball this with fine leg up. On the pads, Chahal flicks it to the fine leg fence. 5 more, India will be hoping for from Chahal.
Also, Jimmy Neesham to bowl the last over.

End of Over : 498 RunsIND: 217/9
48.6W
Lockie Ferguson to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. OUT! Bowled! Brilliant from Lockie. He steams in and bowls a slower one at 121 kph. Bhuvneshwar is completely taken by surprise. He looks to defend but misses and the ball goes onto hit the off pole. What an over this has been! Yes the first ball went for a six, but that run out and this bowled has sealed the game for New Zealand. 23 needed off the last over.
48.51
Lockie Ferguson to Yuzvendra Chahal. Full on middle, Chahal flicks it to the right of mid-wicket. Chahal runs the first hard but he has to be happy with that because the fielder gets to the ball in a flash.
48.40
Lockie Ferguson to Yuzvendra Chahal. Full on off, Chahal cannot di much but just defend it to cover.
Yuzvendra Chahal walks out to bat now. Can he do something magical with the bat?
48.3W
Lockie Ferguson to MS Dhoni. OUT! Dhoni is short! Out flashes on the big screen and New Zealand have probably ensured their place in the final. That sensational through has just broken so many Indian hearts. A direct hit is the only thing that could have got Dhoni there. Jadeja did it earlier in the day for India. Now Guptill returns the favor. This is a short delivery around middle, Dhoni goes for the pull but the ball skids on and Dhoni ends up mistiming it towards square leg. They take one, they had to go for a second. They do so. The bowler is seen running after the ball so there is no one at the stumps at either end. Colin though gets to the stumps at the striker's end. Guptill picks the ball up and fires it at the stumps at the striker's end. De Grandhomme does really well to not put his hand in the middle and it hits bull's eye. The Kiwi players are appealing and the umpire takes it upstairs. Replays show that Dhoni is just short. New Zealand players are elated. Guptill is over the moon. Brilliant!
Is that the game for New Zealand? A direct hit from the deep and New Zealand feel Dhoni is short. The umpire has taken it upstairs.
48.20
Lockie Ferguson to MS Dhoni. A dot to follow! Slower one and fuller in length, Dhoni pushes it back to the bowler.
48.16
Lockie Ferguson to MS Dhoni. SIX! That is brute power! The crowd is going bonkers. Outrageous. Ideal start to the over. This is short and it is a slower one outside off. Dhoni has to generate all the power. He waits for it and then slaps it over the cover fence for a biggie. 25 in 11.
Lockie Ferguson is back on!
End of Over : 486 RunsIND: 209/7
47.61
Trent Boult to MS Dhoni. Short ball on off, Dhoni pulls it right of deep mid-wicket. There was two on offer but Dhoni takes just one and one can understand why. Excellent over from Boult. 6 runs and more importantly the big wicket of Jadeja.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the new man in. His job will probably be to give Dhoni the strike but the question is, will Dhoni give him the strike?
47.5W
Trent Boult to Ravindra Jadeja. OUT! Caught! Boult breaking Indian hearts here. This has been a world class over from Boult. He had gone for just 5 runs in this over. Jadeja had to go for it. Fuller on off, Jadeja swings his bat at it but he gets a top edge on that one. The ball goes high and to the right of mid off. Williamson moves to that side and keeps his eyes on the ball. In this pressure movement, the Kiwi skipper does well and holds onto the catch. End of a brave, courageous innings from Jadeja. His innings has seen India resurrect in this chase.

Santner flights this one and tempts Pandya to go for it. Hardik goes for the big slog sweep, he does not get any timing on it and ends up top edging it. The ball goes behind short mid-wicket. Kane Williamson does really well moving backwards. He keeps his eyes on the ball and the skipper takes a brilliant catch. This catch is not as flashy as the one Neesham took of Karthik but trust me, this is one of the toughest catches to take. 148 needed off 117 now. With the run rate climbing up and up this wicket might just be the final nail in the coffin in this chase.

12.11
Lockie Ferguson to Rishabh Pant. DROPPED! Cricket is a great leveler, isn't it? Neesham who took a brilliant catch before, drops a sitter now. This could prove very costly as Pant is looking very good out there. Ferguson almost strikes on the very first ball. It is on the pads, Pant whips it, does not keep it down though. It goes towards Neesham at mid-wicket who gets two hands to it but the ball bursts through and a single is taken.
Lockie Ferguson is into the attack now. The platform is well set for Ferguson to cause damage. He has been New Zealand's best bowler in this World Cup.

9.6W
Matt Henry to Dinesh Karthik. OUT! In the air... and what a catch that is. Catches win matches and this could be one that could win New Zealand the game. Jimmy Neesham, take a bow. Karthik can't believe it but that is how it is, when you are not in form, it just does not go your way. This is fuller and outside off, Karthik looks to drive it square on the off side but does so uppishly. He plays it ahead of his body and hence, it is aerial. The ball goes low and to the left of point where Neesham dives, stretches his left hand out and the takes it inches above the ground. 3.1W
Matt Henry to KL Rahul. OUT! Another one bites the dust! New Zealand are all over India at the moment. The crowd just can't believe what is happening here. Matt Henry has got another one. This is a tentative stuff from Rahul. Just very poor from a guy who is coming on the back off a ton. It is on a length and outside off, Rahul initially looks to push at it but then tries to bail out. Too late till then, the ball kisses the outside edge and goes to the right of the keeper who takes it with a dive. New Zealand are into the fragile middle order of the Indian team.
End of Over : 30 RunsIND: 5/2
2.60
Trent Boult to Rishabh Pant. On middle, Pant keeps it out. A wicket maiden for Boult.
2.50
Trent Boult to Rishabh Pant. Another good length delivery on middle, Pant pushes it to mid on.
Two early wickets, so now who walks out at number 4 now? Rishabh Pant, who has been batting there since his introduction in this World Cup side or the experienced Dhoni or Karthik? India have stuck with Pant and he will bat at number 4.
2.4W
Trent Boult to Virat Kohli. OUT! Umpire's call and Kohli is out of here! He does not take the review along with him but that will be the last of India's concerns at the moment because they are under real pressure now. Their two best batters are back in the hut even before the score has crossed 10. Boult now has one. Another good delivery. This starts on off, it is just behind a length and it comes back in late. Kohli plants his front foot way to across and then looks to flick but misses. The ball hits the pads. A huge appeal follows and the umpire raises the finger. Kohli walks upto his partner but Rahul is not sure. Kohli still goes for the review. Replays roll in and it shows the ball to be clipping the top of middle and leg. New Zealand are over the moon at the moment. There is pin-drop silence in the ground. India need 235 in 284 balls.
A big moment in the game! Kohli has been given out LBW but he has reviewed. Looks out to be honest.

1.40

1.3W
Matt Henry to Rohit Sharma. OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Matt Henry gets the big fish. Why big fish? Because this guy is in tremendous form. Ideal start for New Zealand. They needed early wickets and they have got one. This is just a top class delivery. Unplayable one can say. It is on a length and it lands around off. Rohit plays the original trajectory. The ball though straightens, then kisses the outside edge and goes straight into the gloves of Latham. New Zealand are ecstatic. Game on here.

New Zealand vs India Highlights And Cricket Score 1st Semi Final Match - ODI Commentary
Jasprit Bumrah to Mitchell Santner. Almost gets one there! Good stop by Rahul. Bumrah misses the yorker by just and Santner hits it hard towards mid off. Rahul there runs to his left, dives and half stops it. Two taken.
Jasprit Bumrah to Trent Boult. This is right up there! It is on middle, Boult hits it towards mid off and a single is taken. Santner is back on strike. He has two balls, New Zealand will hope he gets a boundary away.
Jasprit Bumrah to Trent Boult. Two taken! Bumrah goes short again, Boult mistimes his pull through mid-wicket. Not sure why Bumrah is going short. The next one will surely be right up there.
Jasprit Bumrah to Trent Boult. A dot! Boult may not have been expecting a short one but Bumrah bowls it. Boult looks to pull but misses.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Mitchell Santner. Goes short again and on middle, Santner pulls it through mid-wicket for one. It goes to Jadeja so they surely won't be taking him on.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Mitchell Santner. FOUR! Poor ball and put away! First boundary of the morning and a much-needed one. This is short and outside off, Santner slaps it through covers and the ball races away. No chance for the sweeper in the deep.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Matt Henry. Only a single again! Shorter and outside off, Henry slaps it through covers and gets to the other end. Also good backup by Chahal as Dhoni failed to collect throw from Jadeja.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Mitchell Santner. Shorter in length and on off, Santner guides it towards point and takes one.
Matt Henry is the new man in.
Jasprit Bumrah to Tom Latham. On the pads, Latham works it through square leg and gets to the other end.
Jasprit Bumrah to Tom Latham. One more couple! Another slower one outside off, Latham shuffles across and paddle scoops it towards fine leg.
Jasprit Bumrah to Ross Taylor. Just the single this time! A slower one outside off, it is on a length. Taylor drags it off the inner half through square leg for one.
Jasprit Bumrah to Ross Taylor. Another two! One more full toss, Taylor is happy to just work it in the gap in the mid-wicket region and run two.
Jasprit Bumrah to Tom Latham. A full toss and Latham fails to take toll of it. He gently pushes it down to long on for one.
Jasprit Bumrah to continue from the other end.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Ross Taylor. Another couple to Dinesh Karthik again! A low full toss on middle, Taylor works it through mid-wicket. They run the first one hard and go for the second and complete it with ease. 8 from the over.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Tom Latham. Another excellent yorker on off, Latham jams it to the right of the bowler and takes off.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Tom Latham. Good running! This is extremely full again around middle, not easy to get under that. Latham works it through backward square leg and takes two. He may have decided to take on Karthik as he does not have a very good throw.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Tom Latham. A dot! Gold dust at this stage! A yorker outside off, nothing you can do with that. Latham looks to jam it out but fails to do so.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Ross Taylor. Good ball but school boy stuff from Chahal. Very full on off, Taylor strokes it to the right of cover. Chahal moves to that side but misjudges it allowing them to take two. Kohli won't be happy with that.
Jasprit Bumrah to Ross Taylor. Another single as Taylor works it to fine leg. So despite the overthrow, only 7 from the over. India will be happy with that.
Jasprit Bumrah to Tom Latham. On the pads, this is flicked through square leg for one.
Jasprit Bumrah to Tom Latham. In the air but on the bounce! Shorter and on middle, Latham nails the pull but straight to deep square leg for one.
Jasprit Bumrah to Tom Latham. Extremely full and on middle, this is hit to mid-wicket.
Jasprit Bumrah to Ross Taylor. Another slower one outside off, Taylor guides it to short third man and a single is taken. Singles won't harm India.
Time for Jasprit Bumrah to bowl. He is known as the death specialist and he has been one of the finest bowler at this stage of the game.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Ross Taylor. Outside off, this is guided through point for one. A successful over by Kumar.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Tom Latham. Latham is off the mark as he works this one towards mid on.

It is now time for the games which matter the most, Semi Final 1, Semi Final 2 and the Final. Today, it is India taking on New Zealand at Manchester in Semi Final 1. Everything to play for.
Jimmy Neesham to Yuzvendra Chahal. Edged but short! More importantly a dot. Even 4 boundaries won't do it. 4 biggies needed. Slower one outside off, Chahal swings but gets an outside edge which falls short of the keeper.
Jasprit Bumrah is the last man in.
Lockie Ferguson to Yuzvendra Chahal. Full on middle, Chahal flicks it to the right of mid-wicket. Chahal runs the first hard but he has to be happy with that because the fielder gets to the ball in a flash.
Lockie Ferguson to Yuzvendra Chahal. Full on off, Chahal cannot di much but just defend it to cover.
Yuzvendra Chahal walks out to bat now. Can he do something magical with the bat?
Lockie Ferguson to MS Dhoni. A dot to follow! Slower one and fuller in length, Dhoni pushes it back to the bowler.
Trent Boult to MS Dhoni. On the pads, Dhoni turns it behind square on the leg side and gets a single.
Trent Boult to Ravindra Jadeja. Brilliant this. Boult bowls a yorker on middle, Jadeja does well to squeeze it towards long on. Jadeja wanted two but Dhoni says no.
Trent Boult to MS Dhoni. Slower and full on off, Dhoni strokes it towards cover and takes a single.
Boult pulls out of his runup. Maybe he missed his runup there.
Trent Boult to MS Dhoni. Fielding! Brilliant this from Santner. Slower ball on a length, Dhoni pulls it hard through mid-wicket. Santner runs to his right and saves a certain boundary with a dive. Saves two runs for his side.
Matt Henry to MS Dhoni. A single to end a top class over from Henry. just the 5 singles from it. On a length and around off, Dhoni guides it to point for one. 37 needed in 18.

Matt Henry to Ravindra Jadeja. Just the one! Singles won't harm New Zealand. 200 up for India. Shorter and outside off, Jadeja mistimes his cut to point.
Matt Henry to Ravindra Jadeja. A dot! Slightly shorter and outside off, Jadeja slashes at it but misses.
Matt Henry to MS Dhoni. Back of a length around off, Dhoni guides it to point and gives the strike to Jadeja.
Matt Henry is back on! He has bowled really well here but the pressure will be on him. Can he finish well?
Trent Boult to MS Dhoni. A single to end! Shorter and on middle, Dhoni pulls it behind square on the leg side for one. 10 runs from this over too. 42 needed in 4.
Trent Boult to Ravindra Jadeja. Slower short ball on off, Jadeja pulls it through square leg and takes one.
Trent Boult to Ravindra Jadeja. EDGY FOUR! Fortunate boundary but India won't care how they come as long as they come. This is a slower one around off, Jadeja looks to play it on the leg side but it goes off the outside edge and down to the third man fence.
Trent Boult to MS Dhoni. Good length and around off, Dhoni pushes it towards cover and takes one. The 100-run stand up. Magical stand to be honest, India were down and out when Jadeja came out to bat but this stand has brought them right back into the game. They need to complete the job though.
Trent Boult to Ravindra Jadeja. A brilliant yorker on middle, Jadeja works it through mid-wicket and takes one.
Trent Boult to Ravindra Jadeja. Another couple! Shorter in length and on middle, Jadeja pulls it wide of long on and takes two.
Trent Boult is on now. Can he pull this game back in New Zealand's favour?

Lockie Ferguson to Ravindra Jadeja. A single now! A low full toss on middle, this is worked through square leg for one.
Lockie Ferguson to Ravindra Jadeja. SIX! All the way! Probably the shot of the match. That strike was extremely clean. He even held the pose there. Slower one and fuller on off, Jadeja lofts it nonchalantly over the mid off fielder and it goes all the way.
Lockie Ferguson to MS Dhoni. Just the one this time! Back of a length on off, Dhoni pushes it towards cover.
Lockie Ferguson to MS Dhoni. Two now! Fuller and outside off, Dhoni hits it through cover and wide of the sweeper for two.
Lockie Ferguson to MS Dhoni. A yorker on middle, not many batsman could hit that out of the ground. Even Dhoni could only jam it out to covers.
Jimmy Neesham to MS Dhoni. Good fielding! Shorter and outside off, Dhoni looks to guide it past point but Taylor moves swiftly to his right and stops it with a slide. Just the single. Another good over for New Zealand. 62 needed in the last 6.
Jimmy Neesham to MS Dhoni. WIDE! The slower one went wrong there. This is outside the tramline on the off side and the umpire has wided it.
Jimmy Neesham to Ravindra Jadeja. Shorter and on middle, Jadeja pulls it through square leg for one.
Jimmy Neesham to Ravindra Jadeja. In the air... but short! Luck is favoring India at the moment. You just get a feeling it is Jadeja's day. This is fuller and outside off, Jadeja looks to go over the long on fence but it goes off the toe-end towards the fielder there. Henry runs in and dives forward but fails to get to it. The ball hits his body and goes behind him but the fielder recovers and keeps it down to two.
Jimmy Neesham to Ravindra Jadeja. Another dot! Shorter and outside off, Jadeja guides it to short third man.
Jimmy Neesham to Ravindra Jadeja. Just short! Heart in the mouth moment for Jadeja. This is shorter and it is slower in pace. Jadeja looks to pull but gets a top edge. It goes uppishly but well short of Taylor at short fine leg. He did dive forward but could not reach it. A dot. Not sure why Dhoni did not run there.
