The World No. 1 ODI Team England will travel to Sri Lanka to play 5 ODIs, 1 T20 and 3 Tests starting from October 10 till November 27. The English side had toured Sri Lanka back in 2014-15 for 7-match ODI series in which they were outplayed by 5-2.
But the fortunes have heavily changed this time around as England have been in tremendous form while the Lankans are in disarray after being dumped out of the recently concluded Asia Cup 2018.
The host nation is still reeling from the sacking of Angelo Mathews from captainship after the team lost 30 out of 40 matches under him. Dinesh Chandimal has been tasked with the captaincy role in place of Mathews. The Srilankans would certainly have to be at their best to upset the mighty English side.
While England have been fantastic in the limited overs cricket recently, they have struggled in Tests especially away from home. They will play their first series after their talismanic opener Alastair Cook\'s retirement.
Srilankan spinner Rangana Herath will also bid adieu to Test Cricket after becoming the most successful left-arm bowler in history with 430 wickets.
The ODIs will be played in Dambulla, Pallekele and Colombo while the tests will be played at Galle, Pallekele and Colombo. We have full squads of both the teams here.
