Afghanistan tour of Ireland 2019

Afghanistan will play Ireland in the 2 match ODI series which will start from May 19, 2019. Both the matches will be played at Civil Service Cricket Club, Belfast. The two teams faced each other earlier this year at Dehradun, India in a 5 match ODI series which ended 2-2, as one of the game got abandoned due to rain. Ireland side recently lost to England in the one-off match and also was unable to enter the final of recently concluded Tri-nation series at their home which featured West Indies and Bangladesh.

Afghanistan recently defeated Scotland in the 2nd ODI of the 2 matches ODI series at Edinburgh, Scotland. The Afghan side won the series 1-0, as the 1st match was called off due to rain. Even the second match was hit by rain, however, Afghanistan won it by DL method. We will just hope that rain doesn\'t play a spoilsport in this series which will be vital for Afghanis player before they head for ICC World Cup, 2019.
