Afghanistan vs Bangladesh Highlights And Cricket Score 3rd Match - T20 Commentary

End of Over : 20.0 AFG: 164/6

The pitch appears to a be true one for batting and Bangladesh will be backing themselves to scale down this target. However, the Afghan bowling has a lot of class and they will try their best to restrict the home side. Who will succeed? Do join us in a short while to find out.

Afghan is down for an interview. On asked about the first six overs, he says they were poor for them as they played rash shots to get out. On Nabi's performance, Afghan replies that Nabi is the senior player and he has done justice with that responsibility. On him getting out on a no ball, Afghan smiles and states that he was lucky there. Believes that the total is good enough and that they can defend it.

42 runs in the last 3 overs and Afghanistan have got a big finish! They were in an early spot of bother after losing four wickets inside the Powerplay but then the 79-run stand between Nabi and Afghan did the rescue job. Their partnership deflated the Bangladesh bowlers and they went haywire. Runs started to come at a brisk rate and Afghanistan managed to run away with a strong total on the board. Mohammad Saifuddin and Shakib Al Hasan were the standout bowlers while Mustafizur Rahman was very tidy. The rest didn't manage to leave the same impact though.

We're all in readiness to get underway. Hazratullah Zazai and Rahmanullah Gurbaz are the Afghan openers. They took Afghanistan to a flying start yesterday and would like to repeat the good work again. Mohammad Saifuddin to kick off proceedings. A slip in place along with a short third man. Here we go...

Bangladesh skipper, Shakib Al Hasan wanted to bat first but now want to bowl well and restrict Afghanistan. Adds that they have taken a lot of confidence from the last game but is aware of the challenge that Afghanistan brings. Praises Afif for his knock and wants the batters to take more responsibility. No change in the XI, he informs.

Afghanistan skipper, Rashid Khan says that his batting department is looking in great form and is hoping for a similar performance today as well. Tells that they take one game at a time and will give their 100 percent. Feels that they have enough ability in the team and have the batsmen who can hit big. Wants to keep the focus and do the right thing at the right time. Informs that they are going unchanged.

Pitch report - The pitch looks really good, very similar to the last night. It has a bit of grass cover on the top and it's really hard underneath. A few cracks as well to keep the spinners interested.

Bangladesh (Unchanged Playing XI) - Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan(C), Mushfiqur Rahim(WK), Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain, Afif Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Taijul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman.

Afghanistan (Unchanged Playing XI) - Hazratullah Zazai, Rahmanullah Gurbaz(WK), Najeeb Tarakai, Najibullah Zadran, Asghar Afghan, Mohammad Nabi, Gulbadin Naib, Rashid Khan(C), Karim Janat, Fareed Ahmed, Mujeeb Ur Rahman.

TOSS - Rashid Khan has won the coin-flip and AFGHANISTAN WILL BAT! Something different from a captain. So far, in the last two games, teams have preferred chasing. Anyway, the Afghans put up a strong batting show last time and are once again banking on their batters. Bangladesh won't mind chasing again. They would have drawn a lot of confidence from a close chase against Zimbabwe. BOTH TEAMS ARE UNCHANGED!

Hello, folks. This tri-series is moving at a rapid rate and so far it has been expected results. Zimbabwe have got beaten by both Bangladesh and Afghanistan, however, the Rhodesians presented a stiff competition in front of the home team. Now, it's time for the big clash, clash of the favourites. The Afghans are on a high post their Test triumph and then eased past the African minnow in their first game. They have a nicely balanced squad filled with multiple utility T20 players while the Bangla Tigers own a more experienced squad. On current form and momentum, Afghanistan seem to be holding the edge but a hurt Bangladesh would like to send across a strong message with a thumping win. Expect a cracker!

End of Over : 19.5 BAN: 139/10

That's all we have from this match! We look forward to your company on Wednesday, 18th September, for the 4th match of the tri-series between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Do join us at 1830 local (1230 GMT) for all the action. Cheers!

Afghanistan skipper, Rashid Khan starts by saying that they recovered quite well after a sorry start. Praises the senior batsmen, Afghan and Nabi for taking the responsibility. Lauds the bowling of Mujeeb and tells that he bowled well in the last match as well but in this one, he was more accurate and hard to hit. He is happy to win the fourth game in a row against Bangladesh. Wants his team to take this momentum forward. Thanks the crowd for all the support before signing off.

MAN OF THE MATCH, MOHAMMAD NABI! He says that was a brilliant effort from his team. Adds that there was tension in the dressing room when they lost 4 early wickets. On asked about their decision of batting first, Nabi replies that the wicket looked good for batting and hence the decision. On his retirement from Tests, Nabi replies that he wants the youngsters to stand up in the red ball cricket as he wants to concentrate in the shorter formats. Smiles and cheekily complains that his skipper just gave him two overs but he is a happy man as the side has won the game.

Bangladesh skipper, Shakib Al Hasan says that they were brilliant in the first 10 overs with the ball. Admits that Afghanistan scored too many runs in the next 10 which cost them. Feels that they didn't bat well. Reminds about the no ball on which Asghar Afghan was dismissed and mentions that it changed the momentum. Tells that they wanted to be positive today but the result didn't go their way. Wants his team to cut down on extras.

Afghanistan bowled and fielding brilliantly. Mujeeb Ur Rahman was the star for them, picking four wickets and also getting his best bowling figures in T20Is. Rashid Khan and Gulbadin Naib also played their roles effectively and altogether it was a good team effort by them. Presentation coming up...

This match started on a wrong note for Afghanistan. They lost their first wicket on the very first ball of the match and were reduced to 41/4 in the Powerplay. But the fabulous knock by Mohammad Nabi coupled with his 79-run stand with Asghar Afghan took their total to a challenging 164. In defense, they returned the favour to Bangladesh by dismissing their four wickets inside the first six overs and the hosts never really recovered after that. There was a partnership between Mahmudullah and Sabbir Rahman but that didn't take care of the asking rate much and eventually it was a task too big for the batsmen to follow.

A commanding performance by Afghanistan! They have once again got the better of Bangladesh and are quickly becoming a thorn in their flesh. This is now the 12th consecutive T20I win for the Afghans, the longest winning streak for ant ream in Men's T20I cricket, surpassing their own streak of 11 matches that they achieved between years 2016 and 2017. Also, they have now won each of their last 21 T20I match in Asia. What dominance!
