Bangladesh vs Afghanistan Highlights And Cricket Score 2nd Match - T20I Summary
An interesting contest has come to an end! The Men from Afghanistan have proved their mettle and have shown a lot of maturity as well. The results are showing and they are advancing northwards pretty quickly. Bangladesh, on the other hand, have been disappointing. A complete performance was the need of the hour for them but their batting fizzed out again. They will be playing for pride on 7th of June in the final T20I at 2000 Local (1430 GMT). Will the Bangla Tigers come out reinvigorated? Or will the Men in Blue run away with the show? Do join us. Cheers!
Man of the Match, Rashid Khan thanks the Almighty first up. Reckons that the team expects high standards from him so is happy to deliver whenever he can, whether it be with the bat, the ball or the field. Informs that the plan was to bowl in a good length area and be disciplined, which eventually gave him success. Feels that Soumya Sarkar, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah were crucial wickets as a lot rests on them. Thanks the crowd for their support in these two games and hopes they will come out for the final clash as well.
Asghar Stanikzai says he's happy they won the series. Adds they know their strengths in the T20 format which plays to their advantage. States that the wicket was good for spinners, which is why his boys managed to do well. Thanks the crowd for coming out and providing support for his team and also sends out a word of thanks to the people supporting them back home in Afghanistan.
Shakib Al Hasan says they bowled and fielded well, but were 15-20 runs short. Mentions they got off to a good start with the bat but kept losing wickets and couldn't score runs in the middle overs. Applauds Afghanistan's spinners, especially Rashid Khan, for putting in a fantastic performance. Credits his pace bowlers for doing well and also acknowledges the effort put in by all his teammates.
The visiting team was on the money with the ball as well as in the field, but Shenwari was grinding it out. He batted with a lot of responsibility and kept on rotating the strike, also putting away the bad deliveries. Just when the run rate was creeping up, Nabi delivered the goods. He kept his composure and hit some lusty blows to take his side over the line. Earlier, a spirited bowling performance from the hosts saw them restricting the visitors to a below par score. Rashid Khan was the hero again as he picked up a 4-fer and choked the tourists' middle-order.
Afghanistan continue to rise through the ranks. Another clinical performance has seen them get the better of the opposition. They have won the first T20I series being contested between the two nations and are ecstatic! Credit to them for playing sensibly and putting in the hard yards on a track which had gone tackier. It was a steady start from the duo of Mohammad Shahzad and Usman Ghani but a couple of quick wickets brought Bangladesh back in the game.

Well, the umpire is not sure and he has a chat with his partner. It has been taken upstairs. It is not a drag on, in fact Shenwari missed it completely. A very vital breakthrough in the context of the game. Can Bangladesh win it from here?
