The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is scheduled to be played in England and Wales from May 30 to July 14. The latest edition of the cricket World Cup will see a participation of ten teams. The participating teams will face each other in a round-robin format and top four teams will qualify for semifinals. Wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfraz Ahmed is Pakistan team’s captain. Under his captaincy, Pakistan won the 2017 Champions Trophy. Sarfraz is also the winning captain of Under-19 World Cup. Ahead of the main tournament, Pakistan will face Afghanistan and Bangladesh in the warm-up matches on May 24 and 26 respectively.

All of Pakistan’s first-round matches will be day games with a start time of 3 PM IST (02:20 Pakistan Time). Pakistan’s CWC 2019 campaign begins on the second day of the tournament on May 31 against West Indies. Sarfraz Ahmed (c), Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Haris Sohail, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Hasnain.

Pakistan removed Junaid Khan, Faheem Ashraf, and Abid Ali from their preliminary squad for the World Cup and added Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, and Asif Ali to the final 15-squad. The Green Shirts have won the Cricket World Cup once in 1992 under Imran Khan’s leadership.
