A couple of days ago, the International Cricket Council (ICC) suspended Zimbabwe Cricket after they could not stop the government from interfering in the sport. The decision was taken in London during the Annual General Meeting and was to be implemented on immediate effect. Which means the ICC will not be funding Zimbabwe Cricket any longer. Post this, fans started trolled team Pakistan and its opener, Fakhar Zaman. As one may recall, Pakistan whitewashed the series against Zimbabwe by 5-0. ICC Suspends Zimbabwe Cricket with Immediate Effect; Full Member Fails to Prevent Political Interference in Sports.
Opener Fakhar Zaman went on to become the first Pakistani batsman to score a double century during Zimbabwe series. He also became the fastest batsman to get 1,000 runs. Post his debut in Champions Trophy 2017. Imam Ul Haq had also done quite well during the series. However, if one has to consider Fakhar Zaman’s performance leaving out the Zimbabwe tour, the Pakistani opener has made 1313 runs in 39 matches at an average of 34.55 which is much lower than his career average of 45.70. Zaman also did not have a great time at the CWC 2019.
Thus the fans trolled Zaman and the team. Check out the tweets below:

Back then, Shashank Manohar, the chief off ICC slammed Zimbabwe cricket and said that they failed to adhere to the rules and regulation presented by the ICC. The national team will not be allowed to participate in any ICC tournaments. This means, there is also a doubt over Zimbabwe’s participation in India tour which is supposed to happen on October 2019. Post this, Sikandar Raza and Solomon Mire also expressed grief and hung their boots from international cricket.
