Pakistan stands on the brink of ouster from the CWC 2019. There is a very niche chance that the Men in Green would qualify for the semi-finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Only if Pakistan defeats Bangladesh tomorrow by more than 300 runs after setting a target of 400, will they qualify for the semis. Now ahead of the game, Pakistani skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed addressed the press and said that the team will surely try and score 500 runs in the game. Shoaib Akhtar Blames PCB for Pakistan’s Ouster from CWC 2019; Urges Imran Khan to Act (Watch Video).

He also added that the fans need to be realistic. “I would first say that we would want to win the match and if we are destined to win, something will surely happen and we will pull off a miraculous win. We will surely try and score 500 runs but the way the tournament has panned out until now, 280-300 looks a good total,” he said. The video of Sarfraz addressing the press conference was shared on social media by a Pakistani journalist.

Pakistan has not been up to the mark in this season of the World Cup. The team is placed on number five of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 points table. The Men in Green have nine points in their kitty and have won four games and lost three. One of their matches got washed out without even ball being bowled.
