Saina Nehwal & Sania Mirza Join Virat Kohli for #JerseyKnowsNoGender to Support Women’s Cricket Team

Yesterday, the Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli posted a video sharing a few words of encouragement for the women’s cricket team who were to play the match against Ireland at the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup which is underway in West Indies. He then nominated shuttler Saina Nehwal, footballer Sunil Chhetri and Rishabh Pant to follow the same. Saina Nehwal has joined the initiative and posted a picture of herself wearing the jersey with the tricolour pinned up. Sania Mirza also joined the movement. Talking about the Indian women’s cricket team match against Ireland which happened yesterday, the team won the game by 52 runs in the Group B tie. All thanks to Mithali Raj’s 17th half-century. With this, they went on to qualify for the semi-finals of the ICC T20 Women’s Cricket World Cup.
