The 25-year-old Arjun picked the first five wickets of Arunachal Pradesh, which provided the perfect start for Goa during Day 1. Arjun removed Neelam Obi (22), Nabam Hachang (0), Chinmay Patil (3), Jay Bhavsar (0), and Moji Ete (1). Arjun was well supported by Mohit Redkar (3/15) and Keith Pinto (2/31) as the trio helped their side to restrict Arunachal Pradesh below 100 runs on day 1.
After an impressive bowling performance, Goa batters showed no mercy against the Arunachal Pradesh bowling attack. Opener Suyash Prabhudessai scored 73 runs, whereas Kashyap Bakle (179*) and Snehal Kauthankar (146*) impressive knocks took Goa to 414-2 in 54 overs at stumps on day 1.
