ICC’s rating of the pitch at Perth has created a divided opinion. While cricket experts like Aakash Chopra, support ICC’s view on the pitch, Sachin Tendulkar, Mitchell Johnson and a few other Australian players beg to differ. In fact, Tendulkar even went on to tweet about the same and said that he did not agree with the ratings given by the ICC. This opinion of the Master Blaster invited an unnecessary jibe from an Aussie scribe who had earlier mocked at Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya. Tendulkar took to Twitter and wrote, “Pitches play a crucial role, especially in Test cricket. In order to revive Test cricket and generate excitement, we need to provide more pitches like the one at Perth, where the skills of batsmen and bowlers are truly TESTed. This pitch was by no means “Average”. The Aussie scribe went on to reply to the tweet and wrote, “Who hacked Tendulkar’s account.” The same scribe had earlier poked fun at Virat Kohli by posting a random video and also had taken a jibe at Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
