Sachin Tendulkar made his international debut in a Test match against Pakistan at Karachi in 1989. Tendulkar was then just 16-years-old as he set his feet in the international cricket. He went on to become one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the game and collected many records during his journey to the top. Though in his debut match, it was not the great outing for Tendulkar. In India’s first innings, Tendulkar managed to score just 15 runs before he was bowled by another debutant Waqar Younis. He was not required to bat in the second innings as the Test match ended in a draw.

During a second episode teaser of 'Nasser meets Sachin’, the legendary cricket revealed that he was ‘clueless’ when he made his Test debut. The video was shared by Sky Sports Cricket on their Twitter handle.

When asked was he ready to play against the likes of Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and Abdul Qadir, Tendulkar replied, “I was clueless. I have to admit I was clueless. I played the first Test as if I was playing a school match.” Sachin Tendulkar Has an Advice for Virat Kohli, Wants Indian Cricket Team Captain to Follow His Heart

Tendulkar ended with 215 runs from four Test matches, which included two half-centuries as well. During the same tour, the right-handed batsman made his One-Day International (ODI) debut as well. Sachin Tendulkar’s Reply to Vinod Kambli Will Give You Friendship Goals.

Tendulkar ended his career in 2013 and had featured in 200 Tests and 463 ODIs for India. He scored 15921 and 18426 runs in Tests and ODIs respectively. For the uninitiated, Tendulkar holds the record of most centuries in both Tests (51) and ODIs (49).
