Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli have collaborated for Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy (TMGA) cricket camp. Now, the two former cricketers were spotted at The Bishop’s School where they hosted a cricket camp for the kids. Boys and girls from the age group of 7 and 18 participated in the camp which is joint venture undertaken by the SRT Sports Management and Middlesex County Cricket Club (MCCC). The camp will last for four days and Josh Knappett is the head coach. Knappett has had an association with MCCC and ECB and was also a first-class cricketer. He is a Level four coach now. The Master Blaster as always was fully involved with the coaching and taught the kids the nuances of sweep shot, cover drive, taking a batting stance He also taught the kids the nuances of spin bowling. The Master Blaster engrossed having a conversation with the kids.
The curriculum is drafted by the Master Blaster himself and focuses on athletic development, sports psychology and tactical development. Tendulkar said, “The idea of TMGA camps is not just to make the participants good cricketers but good human beings as well. Middlesex County and I found ourselves on the same page with our intentions for young cricketers, wanting to create something that would outlive us all. And that’s what I have come here for, to convey a message that my father gave me when I was young, that I may play cricket for a few years, but to be a good human being is far more important than that.”
