Two of India’s most prominent cricket personalities, Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar met Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray at Matoshree (the private residence of Thackeray). Pictures of their meeting, which were shared on social media, are apparently going viral.

Two of India’s most prominent cricket personalities, Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar met Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray at Matoshree (the private residence of Thackeray).  Pictures of their meeting, which were shared on social media, are apparently going viral. The three parties- Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party and Indian National Congress formed an alliance to run the government with Shiv Sena’s president being elected at the chief minister. Meanwhile, both Gavaskar and Tendulkar are the localities of Maharashtra and went to greet the newly appointed CM of their state at the same time. However, the reason for their visit is yet not disclosed.

Talking about the Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar, the two former players have played a significant role in the rise of Indian cricket. Gavaskar was the part of India’s World Cup-winning squad in 1983 and was also the first batsman to reach the landmark on 10000 Test runs. On the other hand, Sachin Tendulkar is the highest run-scorer in international cricket and will certainly go down as one of the best batsmen to have graced the gentlemen’s game.
