It was on November 16, 2013, that Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar retired from international cricket. Tendulkar played his last match against West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai which happens to be his home ground. Needless to say that the stadium had full attendance and was a jam-packed one. His emotional speech at the end of the brought tears to the eyes of the fans not only in the stadium but also the ones who were catching up with the proceedings from their bedrooms. India in Tendulkar’s last match went on to beat the Windies by an inning and 126 runs. Sachin Tendulkar made his last match quite a memorable one by scoring 74 runs from 118 balls. The Master Blaster amidst the cheer and hoots of the audiences thanked the people who supported him and tried his level best to stop himself from getting emotional. This included his father and mother, his friends, coaches, teammates and the media. He concluded the speech saying, “I know my speech has become long. I want to thank people who have flown in from different parts of the world. I want to thank my fans from the bottom of my heart. "Sachin, Sachin" will reverberate in my ears till I stop breathing.”
