Yesterday the Mumbai Indians delivered an all-around performance and went on to beat Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai by six wickets and thereby securing a place in the finals of the IPL 2019. All thanks to Mumbai Indians’ all-around performance that which helped them win the game. After the game, MI’s former player Sachin Tendulkar went on to shower praises on Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan and the bowlers of the team via a tweet. MI beat CSK by 6 wickets.
Mumbai Indians bowlers restricted the CSK batsmen to a paltry total of 131 runs, the team lost a couple of early wickets Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan played a vital role as they went on to stabilise the team. Yadav remained unbeaten on 71 and Ishan Kishan scored 28 runs. Praising the performance of MI, Sachin wrote, “Heartening to see a great bowling performance by the boys, especially the spinners. @surya_14kumar's innings along with @ishankishan51 was crucial in helping us win the game.”

After losing the match, MS Dhoni slammed the Chennai Super Kings’ batsmen for their performance. "I think the batting needs to get better. These are the best batsmen we have got, it looks like we are batting well, but at times, in different games, they pull off shots that shouldn't be played," said Dhoni in the post-match presentation ceremony. Mumbai Indians will directly play into the finals of the IPL 2019 which will be held on May 12, 2019.
