Islamabad, June 22: In a major faux pas, Naeem ul Haque - the Special Assistant to Prime Minister of Pakistan - shared a picture of Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar and wrongly captioned it as that of Imran Khan. The post drew ridicule on social media, with scores of Twitter users slamming Haque for the incorrect caption.

Haque, who is also the former Central Information Secretary of Pakistan, shared a vintage photo of Sachin Tendulkar batting in white gears. The caption, however, erroneously said it was Imran Khan from 1969. Imran Khan Gets Trolled For Posting Rabindranath Tagore's Quote Saying it's by Kahlil Gibran

Here is the Wrong Image Shared by Imran Khan's Key Aide:

Haque is one of the closest aides of Imran Khan, and is also among the five founding members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) -- the current ruling party of the nation.

Days earlier, Khan was subjected to ridicule on Twitter after Sarfaraz Khan, captain of the Pakistan cricket side, turned down the Prime Minister's suggestion to bat first if he wins the coin toss against India.

However, Sarfaraz chose to field first in Sunday's encounter. The bowlers were brutally thrashed by the Indian side in Manchester, with a target of 337 being set for the fielding side. The match was reduced to 40 overs later due to rains, and Pakistan was restricted to 212/6 -- losing the match by 89 runs.
