Ajinkya Rahane and wife Radhika Dhopavkar welcomed their new-born recently. The couple also shared an adorable picture of the baby on social media site and were congratulated by batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, who added a cheeky note of advice for the proud parents along with his blessings. Both Sachin and Rahane shared some great moments in the national team and were teammates for their state team Mumbai. Rahane also idolises the cricket great and have often turned to the 46-year-old for advice on cricketing matters. He could perhaps take some valuable suggestions on parenting from Sachin, who is a father to two wonderful children.
“Many Congratulations, Radhika and Ajinkya. The joy of being parents to your first child is unparalleled. Soak it in! Enjoy playing the new role of a night watchman changing the diapers,” said the master blaster in his congratulatory message for the new parents. Rahane married his childhood friend Radhika in 2014. The couple had – earlier this year in July – announced the pregnancy news and even shared some pictures on Instagram where Radhika can be seen flaunting her baby bump. She gave birth to a baby girl recently.

Meanwhile, the 31-year-old middle-order batsman was part of the Indian team that thumped South Africa by 203 runs in the first game of a three-match Test series. Rahane scored 15 and a quick-fire 27 not-out in the first Test in Visakhapatnam to help India take 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series. He will get some valuable time to spend his daughter before joining the Indian team for the second Test, which will be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Stadium in Pune.
