First, let us visit how the event unfolded. It was the 53rd over of Pakistan's second innings and Azhar Ali played a shot towards the gully fielder off a Peter Siddle delivery. The ball initially seemed to be running across the boundary line, at least that's what both the batsmen must have thought. However, the ball did not have enough power behind it to go to the boundary lines and stopped just inside the rope.
