Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Rajasthan Royals by seven runs in the 15th match of Indian Premier League 2018 (IPL 2018). Courtesy this convincing win, Knight Riders have moved to top of the IPL 2018 points table. This was KKR’s third win out of five matches. Royals, on the other hand, face their first defeat at Jaipur since 2013. The defeat thus puts end to Royals’ nine-match winning streak at home.  IPL 2018 Points Table 

Chasing 161, KKR achieved the target with ease in 18.5 overs. Nitish Rana along with skipper Dinesh Karthik added unbeaten 61 off just 38 balls to guide their side home. The visitors lost Chris Lynn in the first over, but then Sunil Narine and Robin Uthappa kept KKR going.

The duo added 70 for the second wicket before Narine was run out on an individual score of 35. Royals then found another wicket in shape of Uthappa, who missed his half-century by just two runs. After that it Rana and Karthik made sure KKR register an impressive win and stitched a match-winning stand. However, the home side kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were restricted to 160 for eight on their allotted 20 overs. Short, who scored 44 off 43 balls, was top-scored for Royals.
