RR vs KKR Highlights IPL 2021: Rajasthan Royals Beat Kolkata Knight Riders By 6 Wickets

RR Win By Six Wickets! No drama occurred in the end overs as Rajasthan Royals win the game by seven balls to spare. Skipper Sanju Samsom smashed the winning run and he should be a happy man. Comprehensive win for the Men in Pink and they go to sixth place in the team standings. On the other hand, KKR have slipped to the last place and they have some work to do.

OUT! Another one bites the dust and it's Rahul Tewatia this time. He tries to go for a glory shot but could only find Kamlesh Nagarkoti near the cover region. OUT! A much-needed wicket for the Knight Riders as Shivam Dube and Sanju Samson were threatening to take the game away. However, the former is gone now and Varun Chakravarthy is one to be thanked. Batting at 22, the young southpaw went for yet another big hit off Shivam Mavi's delivery but didn't get the connection and Kamlesh Nagarkoti took a good catch at deep cover. OUT! Big blow for Rajasthan Royals as Jos Buttler departs for just five. Having smashed the previous delivery for a boundary, Buttler tried to guide this ball to the leg-side but missed it completely and the umpire was impressed with the LBW shout. Rajasthan Royals have made a steady start with the bat while chasing a mediocre total. While young Yashasvi Jaiswal has already smashed a couple of boundaries, Jos Buttler is yet to open his arms. However, the duo doesn't need to do anything fancy with the required run-rate under control.

Chris Morris removes Varun Chakravarthy off the final ball to end with figures of 4/23. His scalps include power hitters Andre Russell, Dinesh Karthik and Pat Cummins apart from Varun Chakravarthy, who is clean bowled in trying to play the scoop shot.

OUT! Chetan Sakariya takes a sensational catch to dismiss Dinesh Karthik. Chris Morris has removed Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik in the space of three balls. OUT! Chris Morris removed Andre Russell and KKR have lost their sixth wicket. Morris bowled a full ball and on stumps. Russell connected but fell to get the elevation and David Miller takes a good low catch at long-on. Russell c Miller b Chris Morris 9(7) 

OUT! Rahul Tripathi goes back for KKR. Another slower ball from Mustafizur Rahman and Tripathi goes for a big shot and finds Riyan Parag at deep square leg. Tripathi c Riyan Parag b Mustafizur 36(26) 

OUT! Eoin Morgan is run out by Chris Morris. A big mix-up between Morgan and Rahul Tripathi and the former has been run out by Morris. Tripathi slammed the ball straight but the ball hit Morgan's bat and falls to Morris, who removes the bails at the non-striker's end with Morgan well short of the crease.  Morgan run out (Chris Morris) 0(0)

OUT! Yashasvi Jaiswal takes a spectacular diving catch at deep square leg to remove Sunil Narine. The plan to send the West Indies early has failed to KKR. Jaydev Unadkat bowled a slower delivery and Narine went for the pull but top edges it to backward square leg where Yashasvi takes a  brilliant diving catch

OUT! Nitish Rana goes back after edging Chetan Sakariya to Sanju Samson behind. First ball after the timeout and Rana opens up his stance and looks to drive a short ball from Sakariya but only finds an edge to wicket-keeper Samson. Nitish Rana c Samson b Chetan Sakariya 22(25)

OUT! Gone, Shubman Gill is run out by Jos Buttler and KKR have lost their first wicket. Gill, who was struggling to find the gaps, was edgy after playing a number of dot balls in the powerplay. He plays a yorker from Mustafizur Rahman towards mid-off and sets off for a single. But Buttler got quickly to the ball and hits the stump with a sharp throw. Shubman Gill run out (Buttler) 11(19)

Jaydev Unadkat and Chetan Sakariya have kept tight lines to Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana and prevented the KKR opening pair from making use of the powerplay and finding regular boundaries.
