The 40th tie of the IPL 2019 turned out to be quite an exciting one as Shreyas Iyer’s Delhi Capitals went on to beat the Rajasthan Royals by six wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. All thanks to Rishabh Pant who made 78 not out and became the party spoiler for the Rajasthan Royals. After winning the toss, Shreyas Iyer decided to bowl first. Ajinkya Rahane went bonkers as he was seen hitting it all over the park and played an unbeaten knock of 105 runs. During the course of his innings, he scored 11 fours and three sixes. In reply, Delhi Capitals went got a slower start as opposed to Rajasthan. Prithvi Shaw missed out on his half-century as he got out on 42 runs. Shikhar Dhawan, on the other hand, scored a fifty. But it was Rishabh Pant who played a very vital role in guiding the team to victory as he came in at the very crucial juncture where it looked like DC would lose the game. With this, Delhi Capitals are now on the top of the IPL 2019 points table with 14 points. But they have a better run rate as compared to Chennai Super Kings who also have 14 points. Mumbai Indians stand on number three and Sunrisers Hyderabad is on number four.
