Ross Taylor Takes Jibe at Martin Guptill Over Throw That Got MS Dhoni Run Out During India vs New Zealand CWC 2019 Semi-Final Match

Ross Taylor took a jibe at his teammate Martin Guptill over his throw that got MS Dhoni run-out during ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 semi-final match between India and New Zealand. While speaking to ICC, Taylor said that Guptill usually misses the stumps when he needs to.

Ross Taylor took a hilarious jibe at his teammate Martin Guptill over his throw that got MS Dhoni run-out during ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 semi-final match between India and New Zealand. While speaking to ICC, Taylor said that Guptill usually misses the stumps when he needs to. On Taylor’s comment, Jimmy Neesham took side of Kiwi opener Guptill saying his throw helped New Zealand to get a place in the final. "But we're in the final because of the contribution he has made in that moment!" Neesham said.

Guptill dismissed MS Dhoni during India vs New Zealand semi-final match with a superb throw which directly hit the stumps. The Indian wicket-keeper was playing efficiently in the match and made a 116-run partnership with Ravindra Jadeja. After Jadeja was dismissed during the death overs, Dhoni was the only hope to take India to victory but his unfortunate run-out resulted in a loss for India by 18 runs. Meanwhile, Kane Williamson-led New Zealand will now face England in the final on Sunday, July 14 at Lord’s at London. England defeated Australia by 8 wickets in the other semi-final to make way for a World Cup final since 1992. Kiwis, on the other hand, lost to Australia in World Cup 2015 by seven wickets.
