Rohit Sharma’s New Cricket Academy to Be Launched in Mumbai on October 18
The academy will be launched on October 18, 2019 (Friday) with the first set of batches expected to start November 1. Rohit Sharma is set to open a new cricket academy in Mumbai. Rohit, who achieved the rare feat of slamming twin centuries on his debut as an opening batsman in Test cricket and smashed multiple records in the first Test against South Africa, has joined hands with CricKingdom to launch a new cricket academy at Islam Gymkhana in Mumbai. The academy will be launched on October 18, said Parag Dahiwal, Director and Country Head of CricKingdom India Pvt. Ltd. “The objective is to promote cricket at the grass-root level,” said Sharma talking of the new academy, which will also introduce an in-house mobile app for the training of its players. It will also hold training sessions for all age groups beginning from 6 years and above. The academy also to promote women’s cricket and nurture the country’s best women cricketers for the future. It will be offering free sessions every week for girls aged between 6 to 16 years old in order to help in the growth of more women’s cricketers in India.

Kulkarni, who has represented India in 12 ODIs and two Twenty20 Internationals, is a mentor with CricKingdom.
Apart from offering its students with training sessions throughout the year, the academy also aims in providing specialised camps, clinics, video analysis sessions, personal training and domestic/international tours for its cadets. They will also get master class sessions with both the Indian internationals depending on their availability.
