In the recently concluded Test Match, West Indies skipper Jason Holder won the toss and elected to bowl first where India made 297 runs in the first inning. The host got all out on 222 runs in 1st inning. The visitor declared on 343/7 in the 2nd inning thereby giving a mammoth target of 418 runs. In reply, West Indies team got all out on 100 runs where Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah rattled up their batting line up as he took 5 wicket haul.
However, it was Ajinkya Rahane's knock of 81 and 102 runs which set the platform for the Indian team. Rahane was well supported by Virat Kohli and Hanuma Vihari who made 51 and 93 runs respectively. Ajinkya Rahane was awarded the Man of the Match for his match-winning century. Rohit Sharma was not included in the playing XI of the recently concluded Test Match. India will play their last and final Test Match against West Indies on Aug 30, 2019, at Jamaica.
