The Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham witnessed a blistering inning from Indian opener Rohit Sharma as he scored a century against Bangladesh from 90 balls in the 40th game of the CWC 2019. The Indian opener was dropped on early in the game by Tamim Iqbal. After winning the toss, Virat Kohli and men elected to bat first. Openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul gave a great start to India as they brought in more than 170 runs for the opening partnership. Sharma laced his innings with seven fours and five sixes. As and when the Hitman came closer to his 26th century, the cheers at the stadium got louder.
