Rohit Sharma Refuses to Comment on Shakib Al Hasan’s Two Year Suspension Ahead of IND vs BAN 1st T20I 2019
Shakib Al Hasan has been suspended by the ICC after the Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan for not reporting after being approached by a bookie named Deepak Aggarwal. It was on multiple occasions that Shakib Al Hasan was in touch with the bookie during the tri-nation series between Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka and then the Indian Premier League 2018.

Post this the International Cricket Council suspended the all-rounder for a couple of years. Now, ahead of the much-awaited Bangladesh tour to India, Rohit Sharma was asked about Hasan’s suspension. The Indian opener refused to comment over the issue. Rohit Sharma said, "I am not ICC. I won't comment anything on it please." Sharma has been named as the skipper of the series as Virat Kohli has been rested. Rohit Sharma said that he is not losing sleep over the decision. "It's not in my hand that this is only for one series. I am not losing sleep over it. So I am not bothered whether captainship is for one series or more,” explained Sharma.
The first match will be held on November 3rd 2019 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. For a few days now, the BCCI has been under the scanner for conducting a match in the capital city amidst the deteriorating quality of air. However, Rohit Sharma said that he will assess the factors of pollution in Delhi closely ahead of the first game. The Bangladeshi team was seen sweating it out in the nets and Liton Das was seen wearing a mask.
