Rohit Sharma has made himself available for the Mumbai team in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. Mumbai team chief selector Ajit Agarkar confirmed about the same to an English daily. The team selection is going to take place on October 10, and Rohit Sharma’s presence in Mumbai’s team will bolster their chances in the knock out games.

As per a TOI report, Rohit Sharma is likely to participate in the ongoing Vijay Hazare trophy to prepare for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series against West Indies. Another Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) official said, “Rohit will play for us in one or two games. The team will be led by Shreyas Iyer, who captained Mumbai in their last two games in the league stage,” confirming the same.

Recently, India won the Asia Cup 2018 trophy under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. The multi-nation tournament saw the stand-in skipper in sublime form, where he finished as the tournament as the second highest run-scorer in the event.
