During the 5th over of India's batting, the Indian opener pulled a flight shot at mid-wicket on Mustafizur Rahman's delivery. Tamim, who was fielding at the position, had the chance to take a catch but missed grabbing it as the right-handed Indian batsman had luck in his favour. Sharma was batting at 9 runs off balls when the catch was dropped. Tamim moved to his left and used both the hands to grab the ball, but ended up dropping it. After Tamim dropped the catch, the left-handed pacer Rahman was too disappointed over the miss-field and moved his hands on his head in disappointment.
