Indian opener Rohit Sharma brought up his 23rd hundred in ODIs as he hit his  second century in the World Cup for India. The "Hitman" achieved the milestone during the India vs South Africa match in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Rohit Sharma hit 10 fours and 2 sixes and scored his hundred with the help of 128 balls. With this century, Rohit Sharma has gone past Sourav Ganguly and is now only behind Sachin Tendulkar(49) and Virat Kohli (41)in terms of hundreds. Sharma started on a slow note but accelerated as his innings moved ahead. Sharma kept holding to his end, even as wickets fell on the other end. Earlier, South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to bat first.
