But the day one of India vs South Africa, the first test had a different story to narrate as the Indian opener scored a blistering half-century. Rohit Sharma brought up a half-century in 84 balls to bring up his 11th Test fifty at the VDCA Stadium in Vishakhapatnam. Batting at the strike rate of 61.90, the Indian opener batted alongside Mayank Agarwal who is currently playing at the score of 39 runs. It’s a perfect start for the hosts as after winning the toss, India elected to bat first. The first session was dominated by the Indian batsmen. Mayank Agarwal also displayed immense maturity and played with extreme poise. Full marks to Kagiso Rabada and Vernon Philander who bowled both ways with the new ball and troubled the openers.
