Rohit Sharma Clears Yo-Yo Test, Hits Out at News Channels for 'Reporting Before Verifying'

The Yo-Yo test has been in news of late, especially after Chennai Super kings star for the 2018 IPL season, Ambati Rayudu was dropped after he failed the Yo-Yo test and Suresh Raina was called to the team in his place.

India's One-day International matches' batting mainstay and opening batsman Rohit Sharma, who cleared the Yo- Yo fitness test today for the England tour has hit out at critics and news channels for reporting that the opening batsman could not take the Yo-Yo test before as he was holidaying in Russia and not training. Rohit had sought permission from BCCI for not appearing in the test on June 15 but cleared the fitness test today. India's tour of England will begin from July 3, where the Indian team will be playing 3T20s, 3 ODIs and 5 match Test Series against host England.

Taking to Twitter, he said that "Dear... it’s no ones business how & where I spend my time. I’m entitled to have time off as long as I follow protocol. Let’s debate some real news shall we😊 & to a few channels,I had just 1 chance to clear my yo-yo that was today.Verification before reporting is always a good idea.(sic)" Here is the tweet where Rohit hit out at the news channels for focusing where he was spending in time and clarified about his Yo-Yo test:
