Rohit Sharma has been decent with the bat for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024 so far and smashed a hundred against the Chennai Super Kings. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya who was roped in as the team's captain after the IPL 2024 auction has showcased dismal form with both bat and ball. Pandya was also clueless about the captaincy. MI have been already ruled out from the playoffs of the cash-rich league and there were always rift rumours between him and Rohit throughout the tournament. Now as per a new report by Dainik Jagran, BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma weren't in favour of picking Hardik Pandya in India's T20 World Cup 2024 squad. The report adds that Pandya was picked by the Indian selection committee under pressure. However, the reason behind the pressure wasn't disclosed. The report further added that Rohit Sharma may quit the T20 format after the World Cup.
